Q&A - Self Interview

How did I get involved in racing?

My dad raced speedway and growing up on a farm gave me a good introduction to machinery. I first started racing speedway in Juniors and after winning numerous titles everyone became aware that I had a bit of talent behind the controls of anything with a motor. From an early age I always knew I wanted to race something and after racing a 2 wheeler for a while I bought a quad and I knew that this is what I wanted to focus on.

What are my career highlights?

Racing junion speedway was heaps of fun and so was racing a modified saloon but lining up and looking down the line of my first national quad event has to top the lot. Winning the Western Australian and Australian Title in my rookie season was a complete shock, I just went out there and gave it my all.

What inspires me to race?

My parents have always been huge supporters of us kids giving us the oppertunity to compete and my brother and sisters have always made an effort to travel big distances to watch me race and help me out behind the scenes. With my 'Do it once and do it right' approach gives me the confidence to do the people I care about most(my family, girlfriend and friends) and my sponsors proud

What do I like outside of quad racing?

I like listening to Disturbed and also watching movies. My favourite movie is an Australian clasic 'The Castle' with it one liners is awsome. I love going down to the local tavern with the guys in the speedcar team that I pitcrew for and having a steak sandwich and having a few laughs
