Some Things About Me!
What inspires you to compete?
Its just the pure joy of riding that gets me pumped and makes me wanna go smoke some people on the track. But in addition to that is watching my favorite rider compete, Chad Reed. He may not be the best, but when he wins it gets me fired up. Besides there's no fun in rooting for the clear winner, nope, im more of an underdog kinda person.
What has been your most embarrassing moment?
Well one day at the track i was right behind two guys and was riding very close. I was getting ready for the pass. As soon as I go for the double pass in the corner the first guy falls over, then the second, and then I hit them. I knew I shouldn't have been that close, but I didn't think about what could happen and lost the race and did a superman over the handlebars.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
When I grow up i have three different plans. My first one is to become a pro motocross racer, hopefully factory Yamaha. The second choice for a profession would be to open up my own shop that includes a mechanic area, store for gear and parts, and a place to buy bikes and quads. Third and last would be to become a carpenter and take over my fathers business.
Do you train? What does your schedule look like?
Yes, i train quite a bit. My dad try's to get me on my dirtbike a couple times a week, but we don't always have time. Training on my dirtbike is just as important as my physical training. I am riding my BMX bike alot with my friends and that lasts for a few hours a day. I have a bowflex at home so I train on that five days a week. But right before the bowflex I make sure to get a little BMX riding in if I haven't riden already that day.
Describe your style...
Well usually I'll try to be safe, and fast, going into a race, but that doesn't always go according to plan. Either I'm doing well or racing for a better position which then makes me put it on the edge. I always try my hardest but in those heated moments I get a boost of adrenaline.
