How did your team get started?
Redneck Racin started as our family theme. My wife was racin Sand Drags with my Daughter and youngest son and my middle boy was racin Motocross. We were always referred to as Rednecks so we made it our team name. We have had a great response in the Sand Dune community. We often camp at Sand Mountain, Nevada. This is where my boys practice there sand and desert riding & racing.
What is your team mission/ motivation?
Family first. We all play togther and win or lose, we will all be there to support whoever is racing. Rusty and Dylan draw off each other alot and we always have extra kids with us so our moral is never down. We have always said, "Win or Lose 1st or Last, give it your all and it will always be a victory!"
What has been your biggest accomplishment?
3-12-08 . We are ridin a huge wave of progress with all our riders. They all have been tuning there skills awaiting the Spring Series to start with so much energy and excitement. Rusty has been putting down lap after lap here at our house on his practice track with 30-45 min. Motos 3-4 times a day with play riding in between. Lots of weights and bicycling is giving him excellent stamina being able to turn faster times on his last lap than his first. Pretty Cool!!!!!!! We had Matthew go from a 85 to a Brand new 2007 CR250F Honda and let me till ya.....That kid is flat out flying!!!! Excellent move for him. His younger brother Eddie has moved on his old 85cc Honda and is actually leading the beginner class and this is his first year of racing. He has only been racing that bike for 3 races now. That is incredible!!!!!!! We are also looking at a few younger riders that have so much skill, it is crazy.
I will be updating as soon as I can so stay tuned for updates. Ride safe but Fast!!!!!!!
Our biggest accomplishment was this weekend (Aug. 11,12 2006) our son Rusty took 2nd place in Fallon Arenacross coming off of a 2 year absence from racing. A great start to his new career. My youngest boy Dylan is in training for his first up coming desert race. We are all very excited!
