Well, I'm just your average 41 year old guy who works hard for a living but has BMX on his mind all the time.  I got my first "BMX" bike in  1975, it was a Huffy Pro Thunder.  In 1977 I got a Murray Top Cat with that "unique" motorcycle look with shocks and a gas tank and all.  I started reading Minicycle/BMX Action and that was it for me.  32 years later and I am still ate up with this sport.

My first race was Sept. 14, 1980.  I'll never forget it.  I raced consistently up until I got a steady girlfriend in '83 and then it got more and more scarce.  My last race of  my first era was 1986.  I didn't race again until 2002.  My only regret in life is taking those 16 years off.  I haven't stopped racing since '02 and I don't plan on retiring anytime soon.  As a matter of fact, I'll stop racing when I'm not able to pedal my bike.
