Q&A - Competition

How did you get started?

My dad got me started in the sport of drag racing. He has been racing for almost 30 years, so naturally I had to follow suit. My first time at the racetrack was when I was two weeks old. My first racing roadtrip was to Phoenix, Arizona when I was three months old. The addiction of drag racing has only manifested from there.

List your competitive highlights:

1996 - First ever race was a runner-up
2000 - Pueblo Motorsports Park JR Season Champion
2001 - Bandimere Speedway JR Season Champion
2002 - Wester Conference Finals National Champion, PMI Season Champion
2007 - Bandimere Speedway Fall Racing Series Super Pro Season Champion
2008 - Bandimere Speedway Magnafuel Super Gas Season Champion
2009 - Currently ranked 43rd in the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing National Standings, and 11th the Lucas Oil Divisional Standings

What are you planning for next season?

Traveling. Every race win puts money in the pocket to do more racing. With a successful season you might see me anywhere from Seattle, Washington to Chicago, Illinois and everywhere inbetween!

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

I think my biggest accomplishment was in my firt year of the "big car" racing. 2007 was my first full year in a full size and full bodied car. Where most new drivers my age are still learning the ropes of drag racing I was able to compete with the best at Bandimere Speedway. Out of a 5 race series I only lost 2 rounds of competition and ended up having the season championship locked up before the final race even started.
