I had a great day today. I started off with a few runs through the boardercross course and then competed (although no one was in my division this time). Still, by racing I qualified for Nationals and the practice races against the boys who are older than me went real well. Then, I went out with some boys from the race team in the park and superpipe. I was on my gs skis so I didn't want to do much more than go big on the jumps but guess what!? I don't know what I was thinking but I decided to throw a 360 in the pipe and I landed it! I can't wait to try it on twin tips.

My sister raced Super G in Mammoth last weekend. She went over sixty mph and she still has three years before she can drive. I wanted to do something too so I signed up for skiercross. I was kind of nervous after watching the crashes on Xgames. I preran the course a few times the day before to get used to it. The course was scary at first. It started with a 20 ft high spine that you had to air and then it dropped into two steep banked turns. There were a whole bunch of rollers that you couldn't avoid air on and a step down and step up. There were a whole bunch of Mammoth race team girls who entered so I had a lot of good competition. One of them was a girl I met at Nationals last year named Abby. We hung out and became good friends. I can't wait to see her at Nationals this year. She raced really well and took second. I got first and learned that skiercross can be really fun. I still like regular racing better though.
