A little about me

Hello everyone! My name is Ryan Lea and I am 19 years old. I started this SponsorHouse page about two years ago with the intent of starting to race competitively. That has really taken off in the last year or so, and I finally can get serious and commit to every race. For a while there it was tough for me to race every race (injury, etc.). Now I am ready to ride! I race in the Whiplash Off Road Series, which is the most fun I have ever had, However, in the future I will be looking forward to racing other circuits.

For fun I enjoy traveling to the Glamis Sane Dunes in California, where I get the most freestyle practice. Otherwise on weekends at home in Arizona, I spend time with my girlfriend and friends- and we ride. I work at the Boeing plant in east Mesa, and go to school full time. I am studying Manufacturing Engineering (only because the art of riding isn’t a major).

I own a Honda TRX450r- which is the perfect ride for me. I recently put a Pro Circuit T-4 exhaust on; it sounds amazing. I look forward to putting some more work into it in the next couple of months (getting ready for the 09 season!). I have some great sponsors already, but I am looking for some suspension and engine parts. Also, a tire company would be great. I just re-did my resume so check for that comin’ your way!

How did you get started?

I have been riding dirt bikes and quads since about 7 years old and I started to get competitive about 3 years ago. My whole family loves to ride, and we frequently vacate at the Glamis Sand Dunes. My parents support me in my choice to race, which really gives me determination.

List your competitive highlights:

In the last three races I have completed (in the Whiplash Circuit), I have finished in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places. In all the races I have competed in, I have always been in the top half of the riders in the class.

What are you planning for next season?

For next season my main focuses are to obtain the performance parts needed to modify my quad into a speed demon, and racing every race. Competing in every race and finishing in the top 5 will guarantee me the points I need to place for overall rider in my class (at the end of 09).

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

My biggest accomplishment so far has been the 1st place I earned in the Whiplash Firebird Halloween Haunt Race (2008).

Ft. McDowell
