Q&A - Personal

Some Personal Information About Me:

I'm Ryan Lindsay and I am looking for the sponsorship to compete in the British National Formula Ford Championship in 2009. I will be competing with Team West-tec who are the front running team so I have a very likely chance of winning the championship. I will also be doing some Formula 3 testing with the same team because I have the offer of doing F3 with them in 2010.

Employment / Experience Summary

I have a variety of experience in almost all forms of karting and some single seater and saloon car experience. I have been racing for 8 years now and have won 12 Championships in that time. I am working as a race instructor with a few driving experience companies. I get to drive a wide variety of supercars like Ferrari's and Lamborghini's on and off the track. I am also a student at the Race Drivers Academy based at Silverstone. This course is teaching me about all aspects of being a racing driver and this is helping me in my racing career.

What has been your most embarrassing moment?

When my steering wheel came off on the 3rd lap of a race at Brands Hatch while I was in second place!!! I went straight in to the wall by Graham Hill bend and wrote the car off!!! Later found out the steering wheel attachment was faulty.

Why do you like this sport?

I like this sport because I have always been interested in Formula 1. I started competing in circuit racing at the age of 12 and haven't looked back since!!

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

Yea I like to keep physically and mentally fit because it helps a driver perform better. I regularly attend the gym and try to do physical activities like cycling, tennis and soccer. Racing and testing is the best form of training thou and depending on budget I try to do as much of that as possible.
