Yesterday some of my new buddies, that I met out at Web Canyon, and I went out to Bootleg.  It started off badly.  When we pulled up they had the road all closed off for a XC race and weren't allowing DH guys up to the top.  We talked to Jeff (in charge of the race and park) and he eventually let us in because he didn't put the race up on the website so we didn't know it was going on.  So once we got that over with we started riding.  It was amazing!  The weather was perfect, 80f with a nice cool breeze.  No really mech problems, only got a pinch flat doing a rock drop into a rock garden.  No crashes, just my right foot slipped off the pedal a couple times and messed up my leg.  (but I was riding in Puma's.  lol.  I'm getting some 5.10's this week.)  At the end of the day when all the old guys were burnt out I hit up the freeride park.  It was so fun.  I need to bring a helmet cam next time.  I was hitting this set of 6 doubles that were all 20-30 foot gaps,  sooooo fun.  Well thats about it for now.  I think I'm hitting up tunnel next weekend.  Ill keep everyone posted.
