G`Day!
I went to the local supermarket to grab some essentials for a BBQ we`re having tomorrow to celebrate the warm weather when I eyed the new Mountain Bike United Kingdom magazine just chillin` on the magazine rack. I snagged it, then went about the serious business of hunting for the perfect brisket.
Thirty minutes later, after I`d arrived home and I was done putting away the goodies, I opened the MBUK mag and started to flip through it.
That`s when I saw it.
I`m used to getting my name in the paper, but it`s usually attached to bad news. Like, "Here`s Officer Burnes pointing his weapon at a car thief suspect."
That`s what I consider bummer news.
But to have your name in a world wide selling magazine for doing well at the National Points Series race???? That, my friends, is what I call an awesome feeling!
I really feel like I`m doing well for my sponsors now!
I`m still holding the number four slot for the National Points Series in the 18+ Novice catagory, but I plan on marching my way up to that number one slot...soon. May 21st soon at Leamonton Spa.
I feel like a kid who got his picture in the local paper!
Thank you to my friends and family that support me and my sickness!
Thank you, SixSixOne, Azonic, Spy, Hayes Disc Brakes, Sun Ringle wheels, and Intense Tires for all your support and help!
See you folks at the races!

A few weeks early, but heathly none the less, my wife and I are pleased to announce the arrival of our second child! A boy! Born April 14th 2006 and weighing in at 6.10 pounds with a healthy size of 20.2" long, it`s our newest son, Aiden Matthew Burnes!
It`s just a matter of time before he`s racing bikes like his older brother and me!
Thanks for the support!
