Due to the rained out feature on June 8, 2007, Chris will compete in two feature events this Friday night. Piasecki Racing looks forward to putting their chassis setup changes to the Penn Can Speedway clay. We would like to thank long-time late model driver Dave Zona for his thoughts and guidance regarding our chassis setup. Our fingers are crossed!

Chris Piasecki drove the Piasecki Racing 16P Monte Carlo to his second top five finish of the season on Friday night (5/11/07). Chris had an early lead in the feature event, but found a few handling issues had dropped him back to the fourth. After several laps of trying different driving styles, Chris managed to work his way pass the third place car. With only three laps to go in the feature event, Chris brought the crowd to its feet as he passed the second place car (Dave Luff). Race leader, Denny Decker, had the field beat hands down unless mechanical failure doomed him. After a late yellow flag, the Super Stocks entered turn one for the last time of the night. Piasecki entered turn one low, but was bumped out of the low groove to the high side by third place Luff. Luff drove out of turn two with no regards to Piasecki's position on the track an almost took both he and Piasecki into the outside retaining wall head on. After the race, the flagger announced to Luff that he was being penalized one racing position for rough riding/driving. Chris had backed up his week one finish with another second place.
On Saturday night (5/12/07), Piasecki Racing ventured to Center Lisle, New York to race at Thunder Mountain Speedway. This event was the second race of the 2007 Trackside Products Super Stock Tour. Chris finished second in his heat race early in the night. After starting fifth in the feature event, Chris found himself moving nowhere in the field. After a mid race caution, Chris started to notice the car getting real loose on turn entry. A flat tire would prove to be the culprit keeping the Piasecki Racing 16P Super Stock out of the top five for the first time in the 2007 season. Chris finished in 6th place at Thunder Mountain Speedway Saturday night.

Oh what a night!
On Friday, May 4, 2007, Piasecki Racing finally had the opportunity to display all of its hard work in the off-season. Chris drove the 16P, through ruts and all, to a top five finish. To be more exact, he finished in 2nd place, about four car lengths behind the race winner - Denny Decker.
The race proved to be an interesting night as the usual 6:30PM hot lap session never started until 7:30PM due to the 3rd and 4th turns still containing a great deal of moisture. The track staff worked and worked on the corner until it was in a race-able state. These corners proved to be a hassle for track staff and drivers all night.
In our heat race, Chris started 3rd out of 9 cars and jumped to an early lead. After the first three laps the 16P started to develop a push on turn entry. This push ended up costing Chris the lead/win at the checkered flag. The driver and crew discovered a bad shock to be the culprit. After a few turns of a wrench, and some tire scuffing, the black, green and purple super stock was ready for the feature event. Chris' step-brother, Jeremy, participated in the redraw for the feature and event and drew number seven. Chris started seventh out of a field of eighteen cars.
On the first few laps of the feature, Chris avoided a near disasterous wreck in turn three. After a few laps, Chris found himself in the top five. After a few more laps, Chris was battling the third place car for position. Under the circumstances, the rough track surface proved to be a hassle for every super stock driver. Chris managed to pass the second place car with one lap remaining in the feature. With no laps left for which to make an attempt at the lead, Chris had to settle for second.
GREAT JOB GUYS - Let's get 'em next week!

At Piasecki Racing, we are making a few more final adjustments/modifications before the first Test/Tune session on April 6, 2007 at Penn Can Speedway(Susquehanna, PA). We are thrilled that this prolonged wintry mess is nearing its end. The black Super Stock will sport the traditional 16P car number, but will have some new exciting vinyl this season. Can you say, "GREEN CHROME?"
We hope to see all of our fans and sponsors at an upcoming event. And if not, we'll keep you posted as often as possible.
Thanks,
Chris

The Piasecki Racing #16p is about ready to receive a new body for the '07 season. Black was the color of choice by owner Leo Piasecki (Dad) for the '06 season. Black wins again! It's up to me to make the car jump out at you graphically a little more this season. I have a few ideas up my sleeve! See the new graphics scheme at an upcoming car show (Southern Tier Speedworld, Johnson City NY).
