Overview How I got startedThe first time I rode a bike was in '98 and I got hooked! Since then, I have raced the Loretta Lynn's National twice and won four AMA District 17 Women's Motocross Championships. In 2007, I earned my fourth Championship, this time in the Stadium MX Series (average of 12 women riders per race), where I won 14 races for a perfect score! It was a great season, and I'm glad I could put my sponsors and their products out front! My husband is also a racer (we met at the track in '98), and in 2008, he accomplished his biggest goal of making it to Loretta Lynn's as well! So we have both made the "big show", very cool! Off the track, I am a Systems Analyst for PepsiCo with an Accounting Degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago (4.8 GPA). Having multiple business and marketing courses, I have what it takes to successfully promote my sponsors and be an asset to the team. I also do photojournalism for Cycle News, Cycle USA, and Midwest-Racing.com, so I have an edge on what gets in print. In addition, I moderate on dirtrider.net (bikes only chat site with over 56,000 members) and am an active member on other moto sites which are a great source to promote sponsors. Being a woman in a typically man's sport also helps get attention on and off the track. I also organize and run the annual Subway Coca-Cola MX Fair Races, help with other race tracks, and assisted former Subway Cola-Cola MX owner/manager Chuck Schultz with the team.
