Well, we're roughly six weeks from the Grands and to say Nicholas is excited would be under-stating it immensely!
Yesterday, he drew a picture of "his" Grands track, which he stated was VERY long, VERY tough and of course, the kid way in front, was him!  He's been training hard on the track and having a ton of fun with his buddies.  In fact, last Sunday he came off the track after round one with his buds James and Coby and the excitement he exuded while talking about where they all were on the track and, "Man, you guys, we were like three wide in that turn!"...  Shows he's having a good time on a cool, lazy Sunday afternoon!

Nicholas is also riding solo these days.  We took a step back and left the team, Nine Sixteen, to ride for what he calls, "Quick Nick Racing", his fast team.  We learned a lot over the past seven months being on the team, and it was great for Nick, especially going to all the far-away Nationals and having a group of little dudes to play with.  However, all things must end and we decided that stepping out gracefully would be our best move for our family and for Nick.  He actually understood quite well, thanked his team Manager for the opportunity and for being his friend and continues to play with his buddies.  He's looking for bigger things possibly or just a little time to himself without any pressure.  Either way, we are happy just to be racing and even Zoey's been gettin' gates at home!!! 

We hope to see all our friends at the Grands and finish out what has been an awesome season for Nick and our family!
