Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge and Rail Jam's
Saturday, December 30, 2006

I had never competited before so this was my first competitions to see if I was even good enough to make it Mountain Dew VC/Jam finals. It boosted my confidence a little more, as my season in park progressed. And plans to compete in Local Boardercross, BackCountry if there are those comps, Rail Jam, SlopeStyle, and hopefully get in to invites here soon.

This was weeks before I could afford my pass so in-cog-neat-o I "trekked" up the hill to the park and hiked park all day. I did not mean to be in the paper... this guy just asked me questions and I walked away when I figured out who he worked for. But no big deal, I just rode all day in park, hiking, helped a girl in need fallin of the 15ftBox, and killed it. Great Day opening day, also got opening day at EchoMountainPark Evergreen Colorado, and Keystone.

TeamRider Echo Mountain Park: First Terrain Park only mountain to open in the US of A. Only 35miles from Downtown Denver and 45 miles from neighboring ski resorts. I am just so stoked that this property owner has invested so much into the community. As a skate park with snow so close to Denver, I wish It were open when I was in HighSchool. I would have went every day cause they are open 10AM to 9PM everyday. They move features on me every time I go, making it a new park, new session, progression, and look forward to the return. I love riding for Echo Mountain because it gives me a chance to get involved with city kids that need riding too. Growing up Urban riding in the city because parks were too expensive and far away, this mountain offers hope. Affordable and close to town and classes with progression pro's. I want to ride for people that care about the future and the here and now for all people that want to ride.
