What bike aftermarket products/hard parts are you currently using on your bike/s?
I am currently running Dunlop tires, ODI locking Grips, an IMS oversized tank, Devol skid plate, radiator and frame gaurds, Moose handgaurds, brush gaurds, Gold X ring chain, Sprockets and tourque block, Twin Air Filters, FMF Turbinecore2, SFB 11oz flywheel, Gripz graphics and preprinted numbers from RIDE PG, They're awsome check em out.
What oils and Lubricants are you currently using?
I use Klotz 2 stroke oil, No Toil air filter oil, grease and cleaner, Golden Spectro 10/40w gear oil, and Maxim Chain wax.
What race/ protective gear do you wear when riding?
Thor gear when I'm training, Troy Lee Designs SE helmet, Pants,& jerseys, on race day. Fly gloves. EVS roost protector. I'm wearing Alpinestar Vector boots this season, they're holding up pretty well for the abuse they get. Fox socks, some compression under garments from Wally world, camelpack, Scott Goggles, am I forgeting anything??? Ah, I just signed with SMX Optics, Should be getting some new goggles from them pretty soon, they look Awesome , will update when recieved.
Q&A - Competition
How did you get started?
I rode BMX as a kid and was always on my bike. I always wanted a Motorcycle as a kid but my folks couldn't afford it. As I got older I was busy partying and being a rockstar, for real, and never really had the time, money or a hangover free Sunday morning to ride. A friend of mine had an old Xr200 at his place and it ran so I was like hey let me ride it, and that was that. I went out and bought a 1990 YZ250 that was so clapped out that it shoulda just been parted out, but the bottom end was still solid the forks, wheels and frame were straight, and it was cheap, so I bought it. And week by week rebuilt it, as I was riding it several days a week. I made some friends that rode and they started taking me to some really awsome trails around the Southeast, and then the Big Dawg Harescramble in 2000. That was my first ever race, and I got the holeshot, but I was on a mixed class line and quickly had my ass handed to me on a platter. I tried to make every Big Dawg event since then when injuries and mechanical problems didn't prevent me from riding. I think I only missed 3 or 4 in seven years, they run it twice a year. This year I promised myself that I was going to Race the entire S.E.R.A. Harescramble Series, and had run every one on that old Yamaha except for Indian Creek, which I rode on my brand new KX250. Yeah, I'm a two stroke guy. And until the four strokes are all as bullet proof as an XR and start on the first kick will remain so. I ride in the Open C class, I should really be in the Beginners class but I like a challenge. The lack of medical insurance has been keeping me from pushing the limits and
getting better results. I'm not scarred of getting hurt, I'm scarred of being hurt, I have three kids and if I can't work they don't eat. I suppose I could afford insurance if I didn't ride but I would just use it for Pshyciactric treatment.

I won the C class at the last Big Dawg Harescramble.
What are you planning for next season?
I plan on riding the S.E.R.A. Enduro series next year, I still need to get my bike better equipped for Enduro competition, But I will definitely be in the hunt for some Open C Harescramble trophies.
What has been your biggest accomplishment?
Sobering up, I used to drink everyday.

Describe your style...
You could say I'm a "little" rough around the edges, ha, tattooed, biker w/out a Harley. Totally laid back and always ready for fun.
Music?
Metal, Classic rock, I'll listen to just about anything.
Why do you compete?
Just so my wife has something to bitch about.
Why do you like this sport?
It keeps me sane, in shape, and out of trouble.
Do you train? What does your schedule look like?
I ride 40 -50 miles every Sunday, Bicycle 5 miles twice a week, and try to get out to the trail on Wednesday when work permits.
