How I got started

I started skateboarding when i was about 7 or 8 years old and in the winter i had nothing to do. so my mom went out to walmart and bought me a plastic snowboard to ride on the hill by my house. Soon i wanted to hit the real hills and i started at this one resort and rented my first board, after my first real day of riding i was beat, but i kept on going every weekend. The next season i bought a new board and a season pass to mountain creek in vernon, new jersey. After that i never stopped riding, i became friends with a lot of locals and event judges and became very well known at mountain creek.

What inspires you to compete?

My inspiration to snowboard comes from my family and friends, they`ve supported me from the start and they`ve been through thick and thin with me and my snowboarding career. I love that i have the oppurtunity to promote my sponsors and seeing young kids come up to me after winning a competition and saying "dude your sick!" it just makes me smile and gives me motivation to keep going on in life to persue my career of being a snowboarder... Im also a very competitive person in all aspects of life, i like to be 1st in everything and i dont stop until i am...

What has been your most embarrassing moment?

falling flat on my face on a handrail in a comp.

Describe your style...

My style is different then anyone else, no sketchy tricks on kickers rails or anything, i dont control the board, the board controls me when i ride, i just go with the flow...

Why do you compete?

I compete to test my skills against other people, and i compete to have a learing experience on how to do better in my next competition.
