Mini-Ramp Championships and came 5th overall in the U16 age group!!

it on my profile NOW

coverage to come out. I was filmed with a UK pro skater for Disney XD. It comes out in about 2 more weeks on a programme called "Skate Britain" Stoked ++

My Blogs are all now at my Blogger account. Follow http://matthewcarlisle.blogspot.com/

It's all kicking off again! I just landed my truck sponsors Grind King

(and myself) some excellent media coverage!

I've been featured in one of the biggest online skate sites
in the UK. It's a site owned by Rampworx Liverpool and
it gets 1 MILLION hits PER MONTH!

I'm so excited about what this could mean for me and
people who i don't even know have been coming up to
me and just asking me about Grind King

It's like they know me, but i don't know them!

The link!

Let's hope this is just the start of media coverage because
coverage gets improved support from sponsors!

You can't call yourself a decent skateboarder until you can do a "kick flip". I knew this and i knew i had to learn one as soon as possible.

I just couldn't land one though. I had tried for over six months but never really got close. I had set myself a goal to learn one by the time i was 11 or i knew i was going to fall behind in my quest to "go pro".

After lots of tears and tantrums (sorry dad) i finally got a bit of luck . A skater on sponsorhouse told me of a guy on You Tube called Aron Lawrence who did trick tips. He said the kick flip one was really good.

I sat down at my dad's computer to watch on the evening of Oct 20th 2008. It was awesome and i could see just where i had been going wrong.

After school on Oct 21st (the next day) I tried about 10 times and on the last one I landed the kick flip above. Within a day i was landing them 2 out of 3 attempts on the flat.

A week later i'm landing them off kerbs and onto the coping in a mini-ramp. I love doing them and i think now that i'm just all of a sudden going to have a surge of new kick flip related clips.

Hopefully i'll edit these into a video for OSIRIS shoes.

Peace
Matt

It's been a hectic week and i'm made up to be sponsored by OSIRIS shoes. I really love their range and I need a new pair of shoes anyway.

I'm just waiting to see what they have in my size (US size 2) then i'll be ordering some. I like these ones a lot but there's a huge range to choose from at OSIRIS and they're all great value for money.

I hear the quality is excellent too which is great because my Ryan Shcecker 2 Etnies shoes fell apart way too fast for my liking. All the white rubber round the edges came away from the shoe, the glue just came unstuck after only a couple of months.

I wouldn't care but I never ever got them wet and only ever wore them when i was skating (mainly indoors). I love Ryan Sheckler but I felt very let down by the build quality i experienced in his Etnies shoes.

Anyway that's history - OSIRIS is the future for me.
