Overview

How I got started

I have been riding dirt bikes since I was 5 years old. My father has rode dirt bikes all of his life, so I naturally was put on a motorcycle at a young age along with my younger brother, Cody. Our family mainly concentrates on off-road motorcycle racing, consisting of: National Harescrambles, National Enduros, and Grand National Cross Country (GNCC`s). However, you may see our truck at a motorcross race, every now and then.

Goals for the Future

My goals for the 2007 season is to defend my Championship Titles for the GNCC, National Enduro, and Harescramble Series. I would also like to try qualifying for the 2007 Loretta Lynn`s Ameatur Motorcross in the Womens Senior Class. Along with this, I would like to attend some OMA Series races.

Bio

Why do you like this sport?

I enjoy being involved in the sport for many more reason then just the competitive aspect of it. I love traveling around the country, seeing new place and meeting new people. Being involved in three different series involves traveling to different states each weekend. Every weekend you meet a new person. Every person you meet, is there for the same reason you are, the love for the sport. Over the years, I have formed many good friendships with fellow racers and industry people.

Why do you compete?

Every time I ride I encounter something that affects me because I`m a woman competing in a male dominate sport. However, as long as, we as women keep riding and stick together, I feel the future is very bright for woman to be accepted completely into the sport. Don`t get me wrong, I have great support from many men, my father, brother and many other local and district guys give me great support, both at home and at the races. However, not too many men like finishing behing a woman, so that is what inspires me to keep competing and pushing myself to be a better rider.
