Many people may not understand the hard work that goes into taking a professional photo on raceday. I for one am at the track before practice starts and there well into the night after the last moto is finished. Even when that is done the countless hours of post shooting that takes place. This is why as a professional photographer I copyright register all of my images. What that means is when they are used on a web site or printed off the internet they are being illegally taken. In effect they are stolen from the photographer. I cannot speak for all photographers but if you want to use one of my photos on your profile , just ask. They can usually be provided free of charge. Web usage will depend on the actual use but my fees are very reasonable and often some sort of trade can be offered. So all that I ask is before you steal a photo ask me for the use.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and the work I do. My name is Scott Lukaitis and I am a photographer and journalist based in New Jersey just minutes from the wonderful Jersey Shore. Although photography has been a hobby of mine for many years, thanks to my dad, it has just recently expanded into a career. I've ridden and raced motocross since I was 6 years old so the sport has always been in my blood. All through my youth motocross was my life. It allowed me to meet some of the best people in the world and with my passion for the industry I was able to take a job working in a motorcycle dealer and have never left. In addition to my photography on the weekend I am the Accessory Manager at Freehold Honda in New Jersey.  The introduction of digital photography has made it possible for me to shoot more photos and therefore critique my work more quickly. In 2005 I got the opportunity to have more people view my work. I took a position with Raceway News, the official newspaper of Raceway Park as the motocross photographer and have photos and stories printed in each issue. The position has allowed me fantastic access to the racetrack and this combined with my past racing experience I am able to offer a view of the action not normally seen in racing photos. In addition to the photos you see in the photo gallery section I am also a writer covering events and providing interviews for print and internet media. A small collection of my 2005 published work can be seen in the portfolio section of the website. For the 2006 motocross season I attended all of the motocross events at Raceway Park as well as several AMA Nationals and a couple other motosports events. Please check the home page often for a quick view on my next event. My work is available for editorial and  advertising usage in many forms of media.
