How did you get started?
In 1999 I moved from the east coast to Iowa. I had always enjoyed riding twisty country roads for enjoyment but quickly realized that Iowa didn't offer the same relaxing opportunities. I went to the Daytona 200 in March of 2000 and pursued roadracing opportunities after that. I found that the only twisty road in the Midwest was at the racetrack. The rest is history.
List your competitive highlights
As a novice I won the supertwins championship in the CRA. As an expert I won the Unlimited Superbike championships in the Great Plains region of CCS as well as the Midwest region of CCS both in 2005. In 2006 I had 5 top five finishes at the AMA Roadrace Grand Championships, proving to myself that I was ready for AMA Pro competition. Most recently I have competed in the AMA Formula Extreme class scoring points in my first season as a privateer in the AMA Pro Racing Series.
What are you planning for next season?
With my Lithium Motorsports team I plan to contest the AMA Formula Extreme and Supersport series. I also plan to race the full Central Roadracing Association series and two regions of CCS. Our racing schedule keeps us trackside 40 weeks/year.
What has been your biggest accomplishment?
Starting as a first year club racer in 2000 and transforming myself into a professional racer and team owner in six years has been phenominal. I would have never believed that nearly seven years ago when I attended my first pro race that I would soon be competing in similar events myself.
