Allow me to introduce myself.  My name is Colin Joseph Newcomb, and I am ADDICTED to snowboarding!  A Connecticut native, I have been riding since 2005.  I may have started later in life than some other people, but I don't want to be other people, I want to be me!  I've done many things in my life, but nothing else has meant more to me than snowboarding.  It is my one true love.  I am an active member of the USSA, FIS & USASA.  I have been to 22 mountains in the last four years, (4 in Colorado and 18 in the northeast,) but my favorite place to ride is Okemo.  Their pipe is the best in the east!  On the slopes 63 days last season, I am so dedicated to riding that I slept in the back of my jeep 5  nights a week last season so that I could snowboard even more.  I think that being in the Fire Dept. and US Navy helped build my character, but even more, a love for the freedom that snowboarding represents.  I hope to move to Vermont in a year or two, I really love it there!  In the meantime, I founded and ran the Windsor SKATE Open, a local skateboarding competition, and have tried to work with the town to renovate the outdated skatepark.  Getting ready for a great winter, see you on the slopes!
