I love the feeling of being right on the limit and knowing i could not have driven my last stage any faster. If i come out of a stage knowing i could of been faster i inspire myself to go into the next stage and push as hard as i can.
There is no other sport as versatile and exciting for me. When Travis Pastrana tells you that rallying is a buzz you can begin to understand how much of a rush it can be! It also has its low points when you retire because of a mechanical failure or after crashing out but i always look to use that as inspiration for my next event to go even harder.
I was told right from the beginning that i had a very smooth driving style and i've tried to stick with this and carry as much speed as possible through corners to make up for my lack of horsepower.
When i can i hit the gym to build up my endurance and strength in order to keep my reactions quick and hopefully resistance to injury up. I have started trials riding to get back to the basics of vehicle control, there is no other sport in which thottle control and precision are so important. What i learn here i can transfer to the rally car in order to pick up my pace.
Awesome! I have a new car for the next season which i can be really competative in and iv just got a new motorbike to use when im not working on the car. I've recently went into the third year of my apprenticeship, all i need now is some good results to set me up for next seasons assault on the class 3 champioship.
