Overview

How I got started

Had an RM 80 back in the mid to late 70`s. Moved to Baton Rouge where no one seemed to ride. Picked it up again 9 years ago but never dicided to get serious until this year (2006).

Goals for the Future

Train on better physical endurance. Have the skills, not the arms to last.

Bio

What inspires you to compete?

Have always been very competative. Football, Baseball, Basketball, Karate, Judo, Kickboxing, etc... I have a natural desire to compete but I needed to find a sport I can be competative in at an older age.

Why do you like this sport?

I like this sport because it gives everyone a chance to compete at the level they are skilled at and also with people around the same age. It also gives people a chance to excel and become not only better riders but better people in general.

Describe your style...

Some people think I am a little off the edge and not quite there. I dont want to fit into the "norm". I have "Demons" painted on my helmet and I have a fascination with the darker side of things. You wouldn`t know it by looking at me only because my "job" demands it. I also have a unique, some say weird, riding style. Hard to explain but picture the oppsite of every way you`ve been tought. But it works for me.

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

I didn`t train for years. Had a bad car accident in 1994 that ruptured my right kidney and ended my Kickboxing "career". It left me to where I could not train for about 3 years. I just got lazy in that time. I am just starting to train again and try to reclaim the physical endurance I once had. I don`t really have much time to train between work, kids, wife and trying to get as much ride time as possible. I am trying to get up an hour early each morning to get a little training in.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

When I grow up I want to be 21 again.

Competitive Highlights

Had a 7/6 for a 6th overall at REMX 3/25/06 (First race ever)
