A Little Bit About Me
What inspires you to compete?
My main desire to compete comes from my natural yearning for a good competition. I am a true racer at heart, I compete in everything I can without the annoyance of self-indulgence. Part of my pleasure from riding a motorcycle stems from ones ability to explore the limitations of the machinery. On the dirt the limit is safely attainable, my bruised ribs and thighs can tell you that. However, on the road it is completely different. I enjoy "pushing" the bike towards its limit but in the quest to find the limit I know that one time I will go over the limit. That is when I will crash. I know it will happen, its a part of racing. On the road I do not want that to happen. There is no runoff and often other vehicles in front and behind you going in both directions... not the best combination. To continue to pursue the "limit" on a road motorcycle I know that I need to go to a racetrack. In going there I will have eliminated all of the dangerous things I can, besides my right hand...
Why do you like this sport?
My passion in life is motorcycles. Being on two wheels whether on dirt, pavement, or sometimes even snow brings such satisfaction that I find it difficult to describe. I could say its my favorite thing to do out of everything I have ever done in my life but I feel even that would fall short. As you read this, imagine if you could do anything you wanted. Place yourself in the mindset of a child for a moment, remove all obligations, commitments, and restrictions(especially monetary). If you could do absolutely anything you wanted what would it be? What would bring you the most joy in this world? For me, its riding motorcycles.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
When I grow up? That implies that I will... Haha, I am a kid a heart and racing motorcycles has been my dream for a while now. When I "was" a kid I used to dream of becoming an astronaut or a pilot. These are things kids usually only dream of before their dreams and ambitions are eliminated and replaced by "goals." Practical, obtainable things to strive for. I'm more of a Peter Pan, racing motorcycles is my dream, not my goal. At large, when I am riding a motorcycle I am a kid at play: living for the moment. When I grow up I want to be a professional motorcycle rider, its as simple as that.
