Who is Kal Gard?
Kal gard Coating and Mfg. was started in 1969 in Southern California as an aero space coatings business. In the mid seventies one of the employees, Ralph McCarthy, formulated some moly chain lube started taking it to the races he was participating in. The product was a home run with the racers and Kal Gard Lubricants was born. During the 80’s and 90’s Kal Gard grew to be a major brand in the aftermarket motorcycle lubricant business. In the late 90’s and early 0’s the company was sold a couple of times and was not aggressively marketed and was allowed to loose market share, that is about to change, Big Time!!
