Overview

How I got started

My dad has been involved in dirt track cars. He was starting me early on racing karts. I told him I would rather have a dirt bike. He bought me a Honda 50 to play on. After 2 years of trail riding, I told him I wanted to race. He said a Honda 50 would not compete with the real race bikes (KTM, Polini).
He took me to my first race at the Shelby Fairgrounds in NC. I won my first race. The promoter moved me up a division the next week. I won that race also. I ended winning two championships in the 50 class that year in the JMX series (on the little Honda that was not supposed to run with the real race bikes) and we have been racing ever since.

Goals for the Future

Running in the 85 SR and Super classes. Making it to Lorettas before I age out on 85's. Doing the best I can and having fun at it.

Bio

What inspires you to compete?

I like hanging out with my friends at all the tracks we go to. There is about 10 families that we travel with. Set up the buffet bar at the trailer, play football, check out the girls and watch the pro's. One of these days when they are old, they will be watching us and saying "Remember when".

Why do you like this sport?

It`s just something I knew I wanted to do. I started on racing Karts and when I was 5, I kept telling my Dad that I wanted a dirt bike. He finally bought me a Honda 50 and it was on then. Forget the Karts. They don't jump very well.

Some Personal Information About Me:

So far in school, I have made mostly A's & B's, some classes are pretty tough though. I am currently a 2nd degree black belt in Tae-Kwon-Do. I train 3 days a week and am one of the Captains on the demonstration team. It's a lot of work, but I enjoy it. We race MX on the JMX, District 29, Ultra-Mega series. Somewhere just about every weekend. My sister races in the womens class on a big wheel 85 Honda. She does good to be competing with the 250's. At least we spend a lot of time together.

Describe your style...

I try to be as smooth as possible. I love going into the corners and making it dig like a John Deere coming out. Dad said he don't think i'll ever meet a stranger. I like to talk to everybody.

How's Life Treating You?

To be only 13, it`s been fun. Racing and Tae Kwon Do. Practicing and racing 2 or 3 times a week and Tae Kwon Do 3 days a week. If I ever make pro, it will be great! I'll take it as far as I can, or till Dad goes broke. He supports me and my sister along with our sponsors: Hager Cycle World, Scott USA, Cal-Graphics, Privateer Connection (Team Rider), City Plumbing and John Page Racing
