S&S Jim McClure AHDRA Nationals, Richmond, VA Sept 23-24 2006.

It was a satisfying weekend for Winters Racing at the most recent AHDRA event named in honor of the late Jim McClure who was a 19 time Nytro Top Fuel Champion. Out of the qualified 33 bikes for Screamin` Eagle Performance Class, Kevin won his way into the second round of 16 bikes only to red light and take himself out. This was the first red light Kevin has taken on a pro tree in all of 2006 which was a record we hope wouldn`t end. Regardless of the finish, making the first round of SEP finals amongst dozens of other national drivers was an accomplishment and continued to add points to hold Kevin in the top ten of national points.

In the Synth3 ET class, Kevin qualified well on Saturday and drove his `98 Buell into a money winning quarter finals finish which kept us in contention most of the day. This is Kevin`s 4th money finish in the 2006 season of the AHDRA. Remember, this is Kevin`s first full year in the AHDRA
and our current 12th place points position and 4th money win for 2006 season is creating a recognizable presence for Winters Racing and our sponsors brands that we carry along with us. Kevin`s consistent participation and winnings will have him nominated for Sportsman`s Class Rookie of the Year award for the AHDRA drivers banquet held after the final event in Las Vegas in November.
