What inspires you to compete?
I compete for the excitement, experience and valuable advice from the family of the AHDRA drivers. Few in the world of AHDRA drag racing do it for the potential money winnings. It`s purely for the love of the sport, the energy and sounds at the track, the close knit family of drivers and crews and seeing the country as our race team travels to each event.
What has been your most embarrassing moment?
Competing at the 2006 AHDRA Rucker Performance Lonestar Nationals in Dallas Texas and having the bike die on me at the start line. It happens to everyone at least once.
Some Personal Information About Me:
I work as an auto technician in the northwest Chicago suburbs, own my own home and recently became married to my crew chief in October of 2006. When I`m not racing, I am riding my Harley Davidson, competing in the APA American Pool Players Association, attending concerts and various motor sport race events.
Describe your style...
My style is to be calm, confident, consistent and professional. I let my skills do the talking, not the mouth. I intentionally surround myself with every possible advantage I can and soak up every bit of information possible from the drivers around me.
Do you train? What does your schedule look like?
To stay sharp and competitive, I race every other Thursdays during the summer at the Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove, WI. Wins here at this track come often which gives me confidence and momentum for the national AHDRA events. My main focus is the AHDRA and participating in as many of these national events as possible. I also compete in an AMRA event that happens each year at my home track in Union Grove, WI and at the Doc's Legal Country Drags eaach July in Kaukauna, WI.
