Q&A - Competition

How did you get started?

A local track promoter that had knew my dad decided it would be a good idea to get me a bike.So one night I was there to watch my dad and the promoter unloaded a 175 honda junior speedwaybike. And said I should start riding.

List your competitive highlights

My biggest racing highlight so far is probably from last years 2006 East Coast National. We were at a track in Batavia N.Y for one of the 5 rounds.Well the promoter from our N.Y tracks brought in a few riders from Cali like he does every year. This time he brought out the Cali Champ Dukie Ermolenko and Pro stuntman Shawn Mcconnell. In my first heat.I had three local guys and the guy Dukie.I had a bad gate off the start and came off third. But worked my way back to second. Then In my second heat.I had Again Dukie and this time with Shawn too.I had an awesome gate and got into first turn in the lead.Shawn tried to come around and slid out going back into turn one.Leaving just dukie hot on my trail.i held him for about three laps and got too far up in turn 2 and he got under. So i finished behind him with Shawn behind me.I was one of the only like 3 guys who got in head of them the whole night. My first time at the track and first time in the top class.

What are you planning for next season?

For next season.I am going to take it like any other.I am just going to keep doing what I have been and try to improve that.I need to get more sponsors for the season though. My big goal for the season is to win the East Coast National.

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

The biggest accomplishment for me is the fact that I went from riding a 250 in the kids class.Moving up two divisions to divison one which is the top class for us in only about a year and a half, because they liked how I rode.
