About Me...

How did you get started?

I have a swimming background. I started quite young. Cycling always appealed to me and once I started it opened up the doors to triathlon. I first competed in Xterra races and then moved into half ironman distance.

List your competitive highlights

7th in my age group (W30-34) and 17th overall at Ironman Coeur D Alene June 2006. Not bad for my first Ironman. Winning W30-34 at Wildflower in 2006 was great. Its a tough race. 2005 Big Kahuna Half IM 4th OA, 2nd W30-34, Lubbock Half IM 3rd W30-34.

What are you planning for next season?

I am planning on doing Ralphs 70.3 in late March. This will be my first big race back after the birth of my baby. I will also do some local races in Boulder during the summer. I will pick up 70.3 Half Ironman Florida or Lubbock in preparation for Ironman Lake Placid 2008. I am counting on qualifying for Hawaii.

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

At this point it is all about balance for me. I work full time, have a beautiful new daughter and supporting husband. I realize I can manage to maintain my triathlon lifestyle and pursue my dream of competing in Hawaii. Completing my first Ironman in 2006 was a lifetime goal. I am so motivated to get out and race Ironman again. You know what they say.. You always come back faster and stronger after you have your first baby!
