Yeah, just discovered I`ve got a Level II AC separation in my shoulder. I was kinda freaked out about it, but it`s little more than any other cut or bruise. Only a matter of time in letting it heal then building up the strength of the injured ligaments again. Should only be a couple of weeks, but it sucks nonetheless :-( .

Well, the two day seminar with Greg Hill was awesome. We hung out, talked, learned, and generally set forth a plan to improve our BMX riding. They had the amateur riders mixing it up with the pros that were there and it was cool to be in the mix. I learned a lot and took what I learned to make a training plan. The short term goal is to stay loose and ride well at the ABA supernational at the end of this month. The long term goal is to get my consistency up to deliver 100% every time the gate drops, then up what I consider to be 100%.

And today, I`m SORE!!!! Just try doing a dozen laps and bunnyhopping UP the face of every jump on the track...no contact with the front side at all!  Very taxing, but effective.

Just reflecting on a few things and decided it was something I`d write about.

There are so many things, so many times when we are writing checks for the future off a bank from the past. That`s just not the way it works. The only time we have, ever, is now. The past is gone and the future well, never arrives. You cannot cope with something that has never happened, and nothing ever "will" happen. It`s either happening right now or has already happened. There is no thing set in stone to happen, no guarantee that it will happen. This applies to the good, yes, but also applies to the bad. You aren`t crashing over the doubles right now, are you? Thinking you might crash is just as plausible as thinking you won`t. Either way, you will never know untill it`s happening right now. And for that to happen, you have to do something...right now.

The short of it? Make your decisions based on what you want to happen RIGHT NOW. Don`t make them on what might happen. Don`t let fear stop you from doing what you really want to do. I know as well as anyone that it`s a big concept. The advantage I have is that I`ve got a little head start in using the idea. I`ve been familiar with the concept of "now" for a little while, and seen the power it holds as I try to grow in my use of the power of now.  To be truly aware of your world, and everything in it all at once is a sensation nothing can compare to. When you realize that all we ever have is right now, a clarity comes over you and you`ll see things so differently. You`ll look around and realize that an entire world is happening RIGHT NOW. The world is alive RIGHT NOW. Everything you know exists RIGHT NOW. There is no "what if?"...only "what IS?"

Yeah!!!!!!! I have the privelige of spending two days this weekend with the one and only Greg Hill. Greg will be in town for a two day seminar at the notorious Desoto bmx track, and through some very gracious arrangements I should be able to get a little one on one in addition to the group seminar. Hopefully the combination of my raw horsepower and Greg`s ability to convey mental focus we will develop a recipe for success. Updates to come!
