The 2008 race season was not so good for me.    I dislocated my shoulder at a Regional in June of 2007 where I went to the hospital and was checked out with a minor concussion but they never said anything about my shoulder.  I went to Loretta's that year and the 1st moto I crashed and dislocated my shoulder again and was done for the week.  A very disappointing end to a very important event.  I then went to the Mini O's and did okay. In December of 2007 I had an MRI and was told that my shoulder was very unstable and I needed surgery because it was going to continue to dislocate.  My parents and I decided that I should have the surgery and heal up before I rode again.  During the surgery, they relized that my rotator cuff was torn too.  So therfore my 2008 season was not much.  I am now preparing for the 2009 season which I would like to qualify for Loretta's again and go to the Mini O's which is my favorite event.  I hope to do the best that I have ever done.

Given my size at age 14, I had to give up the 85's and move on up to the big bikes.  My dad bought me a new 125 and had it modified and I just got my 2009 250F which I love.  My dad finally had my supercross track built at my house and I ride every day.  I have been working out and practice with a good friend of mine that has a motocross track at his house.  I hope that my 2009 season will be much better.

I am practicing on my new 250F at my new supercross track at home.

Now that the 2007 Race Season has come to a close, I thought I would recap how my season went.  It started off by moving up a class to the 85 (12-13) and supermini.  This was probably going to be my last year in the small wheeled 85 class as I am growing non stop.  I pretty much took the first half of winter off and practiced when the weather permitted.  In February my dad and I went to Budd's Creek to prepare for the upcoming Loretta Lynn Area Qualifiers.  In March I did very well at the Areas making it to the Regionals in both stock with a 3rd place and a 1st in  the mod class.  I won the 1st moto of supermini and then went down the 2nd moto for an 11th overall.  I also attended some of the other Areas just for the competition.

My first Regional was at Muddy Creek.  I made it to Loretta's by the skin of my teeth in the stock 85 (12-13) class and had a few bad crashes in my other classes.  Two weeks later my dad took me to the Northeast Regional in PA.  My main focus was the 85 (12-13) mod class.  The first bit of bad luck came when Kyle Peters slid out into me and sent me off the track and through a fence.  I bent my bars and broke a few other things but managed to take a 10th place in that moto.  The 2nd moto was even worse when I landed on the back wheel of another rider and was knocked out.  It was also the beginning af a shoulder injury that would follow me to Loretta's.

After my should heeled as much as possible, I started training for Loretta's.  My mom took me to practice everyday in the middle of thehottest part of the day where I rode at least 2 25 minute motos.  In July of 2007, my family and I packed up and headed to Loretta Lynn's.  This is my favorite time of the year and my brother and I always look forward to this week of racing and fun.  Unfortunately my racing was over almost before it began.  In the 2nd lap of my first moto of the week, I had a bad crash and dislocated my shoulder again.  I was DONE for the week.  My shoulder was too weak for me to be the least bit competitive.  We stayed for the rest of the week and cheered for everyone else.

Now I am home again trying to heal my shoulder injury.  I did not go to the Doctor because we thought it was healing and that I would be ok.  I took some weeks off of racing and then went back at it to some local races and have now moved up to the 125 schoolboy class.  I am just too big for the small wheel 85's now.  Our next big event was the Mini O's.

I feel I did pretty well at the Mini O's given that I didn't ride a whole lot between Loretta's and the Mini O's.  I entered the 125 Schoolboy stock class and Supermini for both supercross and motocross.  I qualified for the main in the Schoolboy class but missed out on the Supermini by crashing out.  I  finished 21st with a 9/21 in schoolboy.  In motocross I qualified for the mains in both classes and finished 16th in schoolboy with a 9th and 16th and 21 in Supermini with a 9th and 21st.  I had a few incidents in both classes but am okay with my finishes.

In December I realized that my shoulder was still not quite right and my mom took me to see my Orthopedic doctor.  I went for an MRI  and just found out that my shoulder is very unstable and may need surgery.  I will be seeing my doctor again to find out how to fix it.

All in all I had a pretty good year!  I am going to be giving up the 85's for 2008 and just ride 125's and 250's.

Thank you to everyone who listened and supported me throughout 2007.  See you all in 2008!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Everyone,

I went to Muddy Creek for the SE Youth Regional Qualifier and was able to pull off a top 7 in the 85 (12-13) Stock class which puts me on the gate at Loretta's.  I was not able to ride 5 weeks before the regional due to a broken leg.  I went into the Mod class sitting in 10th and had a great chance of qualifing until I had a couple of run ins with Justin Summers and Justin Starling who crashed right in front of me and I got all caught up in it.

I will be attending the NE Regional @ Doublin Gap for the mod class.

Congratulations to everyone who has made the gate at Loretta's.  I will see you there!

Hello Everyone;

I did really well at the 1st Loretta Lynn's NE Area Qualifier.

85cc (12-13) Stock - I won the 1st moto and took a 4th in the 2nd moto for a finish overall of 3rd.

85cc (12-13) Mod - Placed 2nd in the 1st moto and 1st in the 2nd moto for a finish overall of 1st.

Supermini - I won the 1st moto and was hit by another bike off the holeshot of the 2nd moto, came out dead last and was able to work up to 15th in 3 laps.  Took 11th overall.

I just wanted to let you all know why there is not any 2005 highlights in my career.
Last year was a very tough year for me. My parents started a new business in June of 2000. We started racing in 2000. After racing for 4 year straight my parents needed to take a break and put all their efforts into running their company and making money so that we could still race motocross in the future. We did race about 25 races last year which didn`t seem like much to me, but I had to respect my parents and try not to make them feel bad for not taking me to more races. I really wanted to go to Loretta`s again and to some other big races, but we didn`t have to money to go. So I raced where ever my parents took me and tried not to complain (which I did sometimes).

I am so glad that the new year is here and we are back to racing a lot. We still don`t have the money to go every where I would like to, but I know my parents` try.

A couple of weekends ago I attended an area qualifier for Loretta`s at Budd`s Creek. I really wasn`t sure on how I would do considering I haven`t ridden all winter long. The weekend before this event I was able to go to a friends track and practice all weekend. That was the first time I had been on a bike since December. Every weekend that we wanted to go practicing, the weather was bad. Also every year at the end of the season we usually take a break and my dad gets us new bikes so we are ready for next year. Anyways, getting back to the race at Budd`s, i was entered in the 87 (7-11) stock class and the 85 (7-11) Mod class. I was 3rd moto in the stock class that day. Low and behold I pulled the holeshot and never looked back. I took quite a good lead on everyone else so I was able to ride at a fast but yet controlled speed. The 2nd moto was went the same way as the first moto. It felt so good to win both motos that day. There were about 70 riders in my class.

We are at Birch Creek in Virginia this weekend. I don`t have to qualify but I am still racing. Age wise I am eligible to race the 65 (10-11) class, but I ended up being a little to big on the bike. Right before Birch my dad bought a Mod 65 and I decided that I would practice on it and if I think that I can ride it and do well, I might race it.
