How has 09 been for you?
Well, it started good. I was able to hit the track when the weather permitted, which was the 2nd week of March in my area. I rode for about a month, improving a lot from one week to the next, and couldn't help but think this year would be the year I'd clinch the state title in Open C. Tthen my year took a horrible drop. I ended up in the hospital with cellulitis in my leg and pnemonia in my lungs. How, neither the doctors or myself could figure out, but none the less, it was something that happened. After 8 long days in the hospital, I was released with hardly any mobility. I could hardly walk let alone ride. I was bummed. I did catch a lot of the SX races that year, only to see my boy Chad Reed fall short of the title! Well, the weeks came and went, and I was still stuck off the bike. Finally I got back on about 3 months later, so here it was mid-July and all my competitors have been racing since April. My leg is still sore everytime I get on the bike, so I knew I had no chance to keep the pace for the entire length of a moto. Needless to say, I've decided to sit the season out and concentrate on fitness training, getting motos in and making my showing right in 2010.
What are your plans for 2010?
I'd like to get some more sponsors. I know this year I was unable to get the results that both they and myself wanted, but I've got to be honest with you, I know I had it in me at the beginning of the year, and I know I can get to that point again. I am still debating on running the Arenacross series, it is a big commitment for me since I usually ride national type tracks, so I haven't made an official decision, but I would like to be more well-rounded in all moto disciplines. As far as Spring/Summer 2010, I plan on taking the Open C Great Lakes/Michigan Mafia series title. Qualifying for Loretta's and for now my goal is Top 10 there, but the harder I train now, the faster I'll be, so that may change.

Worst Racing Experience?
After a few races in 125B & 125 Schoolboy in 2002, I went into my hometown race with high expectations since I had some great results before this race. Well, with all my supposed confidence, I finished 5th in moto 1 of 125 schoolboy with no problems. Moto 1 of 125B, I got a great start, behind two 250f's and the class points leader, it was really a 4-way battle for the lead for a few laps, I messed up a rhythm section and nose planted into the landing on a triple and bent my bars and cracked my helmet in two places. So, got some new bars and went out in moto 2 of schoolboy and got 3rd off the start, 1st lap went up to a different triple and cross rutted like crazy and ended up bailing mid-air! So, again another set of bars and a clutch lever and my last moto of the night, moto 2 of 125B, another Top 5 start, but about the 3rd lap, went off the track and got a track banner caught in my rear brake, got back on in 13th, and was getting ready to make an inside pass in the corner before the finish line and washed out... I've never crashed so many times in one race before! I was so mentally affected by this my dad decided that I take the next few races off!
