One of Randy’s favorite tracks on the NBL circuit is the one in Prunedale, CA. This weekend, as for almost every weekend that there had been a race here, Randy would show just how much he likes it. He smoked the competition in the heat races both days looking like he was definitely the guy to beat come main time. Unfortunately, in his semi final on Saturday, he got pushed off the side of the track while in qualifying position. The ended his chances at the win right then. Sunday would be a different story, as he blitzed his way through the motos, the semi AND the main event. Great job Stump!
Mike Day had a really good weekend at the Golden State Nationals. He rode smooth and with precision to make the Elite Men’s final both days. In those mains, he really put on a show of skill as he seemingly passed guys at will to finish second on Saturday and third on Sunday. With those strong finishes, Mike has put himself in NBL National Championship Title contention. His next NBL event will be the South Park race. Mike has done really well there in the past and should move even further up in the Elite Men’s standings after that. Stay tuned.
Joey Bradford has really been looking good this season and this weekend would be no exception. Having a bit of a local track advantage wouldn’t help his competition any either. Joey was making it look easy all weekend as he totally annihilated the Jr. Men’s class both days. On Sunday he raced in the Elite Open class with the big boys and was the only Jr to make the final. In that main, he had a really good start, but unfortunately came unclipped from the pedal about three strokes out of the gate. He came back from dead last to finish fifth, but was REALLY disappointed. No worries, as he has shown that when the time comes, he’s gonna make one fine Elite class rider.
Big Daddy Rupe was looking and feeling much better than last weekend when he had to race all weekend with a sore lower back. Here at the NBL Golden State Nationals in Prunedale, CA, he made it through the heat races with ease to earn a spot in the Elite Masters final both days. In those finals, he rode consistent and smart as he took a third place on Saturday and an even more impressive second place on Sunday. With younger and faster vet riders coming into the class all the time, it’s harder and harder to finish near the top. With his GT Ultrabox under him, Rupe keeps earning spots on the podium even at age 40+.

Joey went up to Victoria B.C. this weekend to race on the Worlds track and to put the North America JR. Elite Men's title out of reach. Add another win for his 10th straight and undefeated UCI Qualifier season. With a perfect season so far Joey is now ranked World # 1 in JR. Elite men by a huge margin and looks to cap off the season with a Worlds title in July. Joey feels blessed to have such a great team of sponsor's and friends behind him in his quest for World # 1, Olympic Gold and AA Pro Champion. Thank you, GT Bicycles, FLY Racing, Bombshell, T.H.E. GT BICYCLES ABA NOR CAL RACE RPORT
))JBdotCOM(((1/Desktop/Roseville/JoeyProOpen.jpg)

ABA Nor Cal Nationals

05.13.07 -- Roseville, CA,
Attendance: 12,500
GT PARTICIPANTS:
Randy Stumpfhauser:
Day One: AA Pro: 5th (semi)
Day Two: AA Pro: 1st
Mike Day:
Day One: AA Pro: 7th (semi)
Day Two: AA Pro: 3rd
Pro Open: 8th
Joey Bradford:
Day One: A Pro: 1st
Day Two: A Pro: 1st Pro Open: 1st
Eric Rupe:
Day One: Vet Pro: 8th
Day Two: Vet Pro: 8th
Randy has been in a bit of a slump for the past few events and looked to make the ABA Nor Cal Nationals the weekend that the slump ends. As it turned out, on Saturday his slump continued as he BLAZED through the motos with huge leads, but couldn’t get past the semi finals. Come semi time, he got a bad gate start and found himself playing catch up. A fifth place at the line was all he could manage, as he would then have to watch the mains from the side lines. Sunday would be the day the slump would end. As usual, he smoked his way through the heats and was faced, yet again, with the dreaded “semi main”. He got an “okay” start and was third heading into the first turn. After a tangle up of some other riders, he was sitting pretty in a solid transfer spot and made the main event. Slump over! Now he could focus on the task at hand and worry about “winning” instead of just “making” the main. That’s exactly what he did, as he blistered the track and went on to finish with a 1-2-1 score for an impressive overall win. Nice job Stump!
Mike Day is by far one of THEE most talented and skilled riders in BMX. The Nor Cal Nationals track didn’t give him much of a chance to showcase those skills, but that didn’t stop him from giving the fans a good show. He was passing guys left and right as he made the AA Pro semi on Saturday. In that semi, he was running in fifth heading into the last turn with only one real shot at making a pass for fourth. Not being a dirty rider, he chose not to blast Bubba Harris (Redline) over the last turn, which would mean that Mike would have to watch the mains with Stumpy, from the side lines. On Sunday Mike would make up for it by making the main by riding smart and consistent. In the three mains, he finished with a 4-4-3 that earned him a well deserved third place overall for the day and a place on the podium. Good job Mike.
Joey Bradford has been recovering from a lower back injury he suffered at the Winter Nationals a couple of months ago, but now looks like he is 100%. He smoked everyone in almost every lap this weekend of the A-Pro class INCLUDING the main events. He went on to finish 1-1-1 in those mains both Saturday AND Sunday. Congratulations Joey you are now officially the newest member of the AA Pro class. If you are wondering how Joey will do in that class, a good measure might be of how well he did in the Pro Open class on Sunday at the Nor Cal Nationals. After making the main and being the only single A Pro in it, he had an awesome start, blazed the first straight, was first into turn one and never looked back. He looked like he’d been there before and wasn’t afraid to take it to the other AA Pros. He’s gonna make a fine AA Pro. Good job Joey.
Big Daddy Rupe was looking and feeling good during practice on Friday. He was riding the new UB2 prototype carbon frame and was sure getting lots of compliments on it from the fans as well as the competition. Come Saturday morning though, he was suffering from a strain in his lower back that would subsequently cause him to ride mid pack most of the weekend. He managed to dig deep enough to qualify for the Vet Pro mains each day, but it was all he could do just to ride the track and keep up with the pack. Not a great showing for the winningest Vet Pro of all time, but being in the finals each day is no easy task in the Vet class.

BMX Race Report ABA Nor-Cal Nationals Roseville, CA May 12-13
Round 6 of the 2007 ABA Pro Series was this past weekend in Roseville, CA. Traditionally one of the tracks with some of the best racing on the ABA West Coast Nationals, it once again gave the fans a lot to cheer about. A great weekend of racing and weather made for one awesome event and the Double A Marketing Pros were once again at the top of the Podium. Here is how they finished up. Randy Stumpfhauser has the lead in the ABA Pro Points and he was looking to build to it. On Sunday, he did just that, as he won the AA Pro Class, grabbing another win in AA. Randy is after the only US Pro title he has not won, and by the looks of it so far, he is well on his way to his first ABA #1 Pro title. Randy's sponsors include GT Bicycles, Kenda, SINZ Racing, ODI, Tangent, Sun Rims, Bombshell, Fly Racing, Powerbar, CTI Knee Braces, OGIO, SDG, SRAM, Cyto Sport, and BMXpros.com.
Brandon Meadows has always raced well at the Roseville track and this past weekend was one of his best race weekends of 2007. Making all 4 Pro Main events he entered, Brandon was just off the Podium in AA Pro both days, due to some crashes, but a 5th and 6th in AA are very respectful. Brandon finished 2nd in Pro Open as well as 7th, Brandon's Sponsors include Intense BMX, Socko Energy Drinks, SINZ Racing, THE Products, Fly Racing, Shimano, Power Bar, Intense Tire Systems, Cyto Sport, OGIO, Thomson Seat Posts, and BMXpros.com
Joey Bradford had one of the best weekends of his young Pro Career. On Saturday, Joey raced the stacked A Pro Class and did not lose one lap all day. Winning all 3 main events shoes his consistency. On Sunday, Joey added Pro Open to his race activities for the day, and it was a great choice. Joey once again won all 3 A Pro main events and carried the momentum to Pro Open, where he hole shotted the main event and took the win. Joey's Sponsors include GT Bicycles, Fly Racing, Oakley, Bombshell, THE Products, Sun Ringle, Kenda, SDG, FSA, Sponsorhouse, Powerbar, Cyto Sport, Circle E, SRAM, OGIO, Sirius Satellite Radio, JoeyBradford.com, and BMXpros.com
Double A Marketing proudly represents Cristian Becerine, Kyle Bennett, Joey Bradford, Brandon Meadows, and Randy Stumpfhauser. For more information on any of the riders or on Double A Marketing, please e-mail us or visit BMXPros.com. |

- Ricky "Smootches" Castro was again Mr. Consistent with four more podiums in the 6 year old classes. Ricky has a very nice season going this year and is always in the mix.
- Brandon "I like the view" Tansey finally got it going on Sunday with a 3rd along with making all his mains in 13 year old class.
- "Dirty" Dezi Green always fun to watch got a 4th on Sunday and also involved in another crash on Saturday in the 5 year old class
- Bubba Gonzales showed flashes of what he is capable of making his mains on Sunday in the no joke 8 Expert class. Look for Bubba to start making some noise in the class.
- Robbie "The Matador" Merced was having a hard weekend showing a little rust from so much rain back home and no where to ride. With Supercamp coming to town this week look for Robbie to start getting alot of riding in.
- JB himself had a OUTSTANDING weekend stomping the comp in A Pro with perfect scores and then winning Pro Open on Sunday. Great job Joey and welcome to AA Pro.

Stumpy showed up in Boulder City ready to sow the rest of the world’s Elite Men who is the fastest rider on earth. Just like we knew he would do, Randy was smokin’ everybody all day long on Saturday. He was definitely THE guy to beat come main time. If it hadn’t been for the bounce of the starting gate that caught his rear wheel just a bit in the one lap main event, he’d have walked away with the win for sure. Sometimes a starting gate can have a little bit of a rebound after it falls, and if the rider’s start is TOO “right on the money”, the bounce of the gate can catch the rear wheel and hang the rider up just enough to take away some of his momentum. That’s what happened to Stumpy and it was just enough to put him a few inches behind the leaders going into the first turn. Coming from lane one (inside heading into the first turn) he had to do a “low-low” (being low inside coming into the turn and then also being low coming out of the turn), which didn’t put him in good position for the “Pro Section” second straight. He did his best to gain speed and stay with the leaders, but nothing can replace “momentum” as the rest of the pack had a better drive heading out of the first turn. By the second turn he had gone from second/third to fifth. It was all he could do from that point on to hold his position. It was a disappointing day for Randy to say the least. Sunday started off just as hot as Saturday, but would end in an even more disappointing way. He won every heat race and his quarter final race. All he had left to do before winning the main was to make it through the semi final. He had an okay start and was giving it a little extra effort to get to the front. Just then, his left foot came unclipped from the pedal and he was instantly shot to the rear of the pack. He was able to work his way up to fifth place, but would have needed one more straightaway to make the pass. Unfortunately, the track was too short for that. Fifth in the semi was it for him. Not a great way to end his weekend, but he’ll be back stronger than before, so look out!
Mike Day showed up this weekend coming off his “three for four” (three wins in four mains events made) weekend at the last event and was ready for more podium appearances. As always, he was brilliant in the motos, the quarter and semi finals. He had kinda hoped for lane eight (outside heading into the first turn) in the mains, so no one would ball him up and he’d have a good drive coming out of the first turn. Well, he got his wish both Saturday and Sunday as he drew lane eight both times. He made it work, rode really well and earned a hard fought third place podium spot both days. Mike Day…Making GT proud!
Joey Bradford is on a roll with his “four wins in a row” streak in the NBL’s Elite Jr Men’s category and came to Boulder City to try and extend that. That’s exactly what he did as he literally annihilated the competition both Saturday and Sunday. He didn’t lose one lap all weekend as he extended his already huge point lead in the NBL. Look for Joey to start racing in the Elite Open class on a regular basis where he’ll mix it up with the big boys of Elite Men. The Elite Men are gonna have their hands full with one more super fast guy to contend with as soon as Joey gets in there. It’s gonna be good.
Big Daddy Rupe came to Boulder City sitting in the number two spot in the Elite Masters point standings. As the three time Elite Masters National Champion (95’-96’-04’), Eric knows what it takes to win championships. He’s got his eyes set on the 07’ Title and has what it takes to win it. He was out front a lot on Saturday in both classes and was more than ready for the main events. He was in a solid second place position exiting the first turn in Saturday’s Masters main. Opting not to hit the pro section in the breezy conditions (a few bad crashes in windy conditions over the past 30 years of racing would make most anyone a little gun shy), he charged the second straight on the right hand side. Unfortunately, he got passed by a braver rider who DID hit the big pro section in the wind (Tim Dinger-North Carolina) and dropped back to third. He rode well after that as he earned the third place podium spot for the day. In the Masters Open main, again he had good first straight pull and was in good position for the win in turn one. He came out of the turn in third and followed the leaders around the jump covered/windy track. A tangle on the last straight between the two leaders allowed Big Daddy to move up to second and that’s where he finished. Sunday would be way worse as far as the winds were concerned as this pretty much put the Big Daddy on the sidelines from the get go. 15 to 25 mile an hour gusts of wind are not exactly what you’d call ideal riding conditions for anyone, much less a rider that doesn’t care for wind at all. Rupe did manage to make the Elite Masters final. He even grabbed the early hole shot in that main. He made a few mistakes on the first straight, dropped back to fourth, caught a few wind gusts, dropped back to sixth and gently brought his GT Ultrabox in for a safe and sound sixth place finish. Not a great way to end the weekend, but a safe one none the less.

Round 4 of the 2007 NBL Elite Points series was held this past weekend in Boulder City, Nevada. The Nellis BMX Track is one of, if not the best BMX track in the NBL track list and this event had the making of a history making weekend: an all star International field of the world best Men's and Women's Pros and amateurs, UCI and NBL Pro points, history making National attendance for an NBL West Coast National, and perfect race weather. For the Double A Marketing riders, they made history as well, as they won all of the Elite Junior and Elite Men classes this weekend, making it a clean sweep for both Joey Bradford and Cristian Becerine. The other Double A Marketing riders in attendance also had some impressive results. Here is how the guys finished up:
Double A Marketing
BMX Race Report
NBL Lake Mead National, Boulder City, Nevada
Cristian Becerine has won at least one day of the Elite Men's Pro class at the last 3 national events and this weekend, he was unstoppable, taking home the win both days in Elite Men's action. At what may have been the most stacked Pro class in years, Cristian took the win both days from the gate to the finish line unchallenged. Cristian now holds the lead in both the NBL and ABA pro points and looks to be on his way to winning his first year end National #1 Pro title. Cristian's Sponsors include: Free Agent, Fly Racing, Sinz Racing Products, Kenda, THE Products, ODI, Sun Ringle, Shimano, Powerbar, Cyto Sport, OGIO, Oakley, Thomson Seat Posts, and BMXpros.com
Joey Bradford was just as impressive in the Junior Men's class as he too took home wire to wire wins both days this weekend. Joey also has his NBL team debut and they looked great along the front row of teams with there GT tent proudly set up and information available about all of the teams sponsors. This kid just does it all and does it all very well! Joey’s sponsors include GT Bicycles, Fly Racing, Oakley, Bombshell, THE Products, Sun Ringle, Kenda, SDG, FSA, Sponsorhouse, ODI, Powerbar, Cyto Sport, Circle E, SRAM, Avid, OGIO, Sirius, joeybradford.com, and BMXpros.com
Brandon Meadows made a huge statement at the Nellis event, as he was in the Elite Men's Pro main event both days, aboard his all new Intense Podium frame. After recovering from a broken femur suffered last year, Brandon has once again persevered and come back stronger than ever. Making the main event in the Elite men's class is a huge accomplishment for any pro and for a Pro coming back from such a huge injury, its just plain amazing. We are glad to see Brandon getting back to his top form and the 6th and 7th place finishes this weekend are a huge payoff for the hard work on his part. Brandon's Sponsors include Intense BMX, Socko Energy Drinks, SINZ Racing, THE Products, Fly Racing, Shimano, Power Bar, Intense Tire Systems, Cyto Sport, OGIO, Thomson Seat Posts, and BMXpros.com
Randy Stumpfhauser looked to be one of the few pros who may have been able to put a stop to Cristian's winning streak, as on Saturday, he was untouchable and won every lap on the track all the way up to the main event. As the gate dropped for the main, Randy was just a bit off of Cristian and would win up 5th for the day. On Sunday, Randy would have to watch the main event from the sidelines after unclipping out of the gate in the semi. Randy is a true pro and congratulated Cristian on his win. Look for Randy to be back in the mix for the Pro win in a few weeks at the ABA Winter Nationals. Randy's sponsors include GT Bicycles, Kenda, ODI, Tangent, Sun Rims, Bombshell, Fly Racing, SINZ Products, Powerbar, CTI Knee Braces, OGIO, SDG, SRAM, Easton, Cyto Sport, and BMXpros.com.

-- 2/17/07: ABA Sooner Nationals
Mike Day scores his first AA Pro win on GT
02.05.07 -- Guthrie, Oklahoma,
Attendance: 11,200
GT PARTICIPANTS:
Randy Stumpfhauser:
Day One: AA Pro: 8th
Day Two: AA Pro: 8th
Mike Day:
Day One: AA Pro: 6th
Pro Open: 1st
Day Two: AA Pro: 1st
Pro Open: 1st
Joey Bradford:
Day One: A Pro: 3rd
Day Two: A Pro: 4th
Eric Rupe:
Day One: Vet Pro: 4th
Day Two: Vet Pro: 5th
Randy Stumpfhauser started off the Sooner Nationals weekend on a sour note, as his bike and bags didn’t show up at the airport baggage claim on Friday. What that meant was no Friday practice for the ABA’s #2 Pro for 2006. With a technical and tricky track, like the Guthrie one, it would be a practice he did not want to miss. He did his best to get all he could out of the Saturday morning practice and made the AA Pro main event both days. In the three mains each day, he had some bad luck and a few bad laps (very unusual for Stumpy, as he is one of the most consistent pro’s of all time) and ended up with the snowman in AA Pro both days (8th). Not a good showing by most standards, but just making the AA Pro mains these days is no easy task. Look for Stumpy to do MUCH better at the next event.
Mike Day came to Guthrie to show that his performance in Reno last month was NOT a sign of things to come for him in 2007. As usual, he was amazing in the heat races and rode with incredible speed and skill. He ended up winning Pro Open both days and AA Pro on Sunday. If it wasn’t for a crash in the second AA Pro main on Saturday, he would have most likely won that day too. Oh well, that’s what makes racing so exciting… you just never know what is gonna happen.
Big Daddy Rupe came to Oklahoma looking for his first ABA Vet Pro win of the year. Last year at this event, he handled the burley pro section, won Vet Pro on Sunday and was hoping for a repeat performance. As fate would have it, things didn’t turn out as well as last year as a fourth and a fifth were all he could muster. For the record, he tied for third on Saturday, yet ended up fourth and tied for third on Sunday, yet ended up fifth. Kinda weird how the points work out some times, huh? At 43 years young, look for Big Daddy to improve as the season progresses.
This was Joey Bradford’s second weekend racing as a BMX Pro and he was looking for his first win. He rode strong, smooth and fast in the heat races both Saturday and Sunday and made the A-Pro mains both days. Saturday’s chance at the win slipped away in one of the three mains with one little mistake and he had to settle for the third overall. On Sunday, he had a shot at the win going into the third round of the mains. All he had to do was finish ahead of David Herman (Answer) and the win would be all his. Not an easy task, but Joey knew he could do it. Herman got the hole shot with Joey in tow. He followed David around the track and went for the move in the last turn. A bit too far on the inside of the last turn and Bradford found himself on the ground. He gets an “A” for effort, as he was going for the win, but he came up just a little short. He’s dialing in his skills as a “Pro” and will be racking up the wins in no time.
See Randy Stumpfhauser, Mike Day, Joey Bradford, Eric Rupe and GT next, at the NBL Boulder City Nationals in Boulder City, NV on February 24-25, 2007.

-- 2/5/07: BMX Race Report - ABA Sooner Nationals Guthrie
Round 3 of the 2007 ABA Pro race events took place this past weekend in Guthrie, Oklahoma at the Lazy E Arena. While the arena is better known for some big time Pro Rodeos, it seemed like instead of a Pro BMX race, there was a Rodeo going on this weekend as a slew of riders took big time tumbles and crashes. The ABA build a great track for the riders and there was some great race action all weekend long. The Double A Marketing riders were there in full force and had some impressive results. Here is how the guys finished up:
Cristian Becerine was once again one of the top Pros at theevent. Focusing on AA Pro, Cristian had a impressive showing as usual throughout the day on Saturday, but once the main events started, he really shinned. Cristian would take another home another AA win with his impressive power and skills. On Sunday, Cristian looked to repeat his increasable performance from the day before, but fell just a bit short, finishing 3rd. Cristian has been one of the top guys for 2007 and looks to continue his wining ways all season long. Cristian's Sponsors include: Free Agent, Answer, Kenda, THE Products, ODI, Sun Ringle, Shimano, Powerbar, Cyto Sport, OGIO, Oakley, Thomson Seat Posts, and BMXpros.com
Randy Stumpfhauser has also focused on AA only andhas also been very impressive so far in 2007. While Randy has been atop the Pro class most of the season, this weekend he was off just a bit. Randy was in the AA main event both days, but finished up 8th both days. Still a tough feat to make the AA main, Randy was not happy with his results and will be ready to battle for the win in a few weeks at the next ABA National event in Florida. Randy's sponsors include GT Bicycles, Kenda, ODI, Tangent, Sun Rims, Bombshell, Fly Racing, SINZ Products, Powerbar, CTI Knee Braces, OGIO, SDG, SRAM, Easton, Cyto Sport, and BMXpros.com.
Brandon Meadows gave his fans something to cheeraboutas he made the Pro Open main event on Sunday. Brandon looked better and better on the track as the weekend progressed, and in the main event on Sunday afternoon, Brandon just missed making a appearance on the Podium, as he would finish up 4th overall. Brandon looks forward to his next event to get a shot at the Elite Pro win. Brandon's Sponsors include Intense BMX, Socko Energy Drinks, SINZ Racing, THE Products, Fly Racing, Shimano, Power Bar, Intense Tire Systems, Cyto Sport, OGIO, Thomson Seat Posts, and BMXpros.com
Joey Bradford made the trip to Oklahoma and just kept finding problems along the way. On Friday, upon arrival, his luggage didn't make it there with him, so he missed out on practice on Friday. Things took a turn for the better on Saturday, as he easily made it to the A Pro main event. Joey finished up 3rd overall. On Sunday, it was back to tough time, as after wining the 1st of the 3 main events and placing 2nd in the 2nd round, a crash would keep Joey from taking home the win and event a spot on the podium, as he finished up 4th overall. Joey’s sponsors include GT Bicycles, Fly Racing, Oakley, Bombshell, THE Products, Sun Ringle, Kenda, SDG, FSA, Sponsorhouse, ODI, Powerbar, Cyto Sport, Circle E, SRAM, Avid, OGIO, Sirius, joeybradford.com, and BMXpros.com
Kyle Bennett was in attendance and rode the track during the Friday practice. Kyle has had a quick recovery from his knee reconstructive surgery he had in December and looks to be back in the AA mix soon. Kyle is looking at the NBL national event in Boulder City, NV to hopefully be his return to the BMX National Tour. Kyle's sponsors include Free Agent, KHS, Fly Racing, Bombshell F1 Fork, Sun Rims, Shimano, UGP, Kenda, Thomson, S & M bars, ODI, ORP, Powerbar, Cyto Sport, and BMXpros.com.
Double A Marketing proudly represents Cristian Becerine, Kyle Bennett, Joey Bradford, Dale Holmes, Brandon Meadows, and Randy Stumpfhauser. Look for new riders to be added on for 2007. For more information on any of the riders or on Double A Marketing, please e-mail Pete Dylewski or visit BMXPros.com
