 About JoeyBradford.com

"Joey Bradford is the ultimate BMX racer. Even though he is still only 16 years old, he has already had a career that would make 99% of the Pros out there green with envy. You can run down the list of titles – 14 World Championship titles (ABA and UCI), 10 National Championship titles, 13 ABA Race of Champions titles, 10 State Champ titles, 12 Gold Cup Champ titles, Pacific Oceanic Champ, Pan Pacific Champ, and, in MTB, 4 time Sea Otter Classic Mountain Cross Champ – the Factory teams he’s ridden for – Specialized, Staats, Avent/Bombshell, Mongoose, and now, GT – the world traveling he’s done – Argentina, Brazil, Australia, Japan, Holland, Colombia, and France - and you would agree that Joey could retire before he even graduates high school and still remain one of the most accomplished BMX racers that ever threw a leg over a bike. But what really sets Joey apart is his determination to be the best, with a drive and work ethic unparalleled in the amateur ranks, drilled into his head from the time he could walk by his dad, Jerry. This kid (and his family) wrote the book on how to eat and breathe the BMX life. Early morning training sessions, long runs on the beach near his Monterey, California home, thousands of sprints up and down the street are all a part of what gets Joey on the top of the podium time after time. On top of all that, Joey knows how to represent his sponsors, a talent that is all but lost on the majority of athletes in the sport and one that he is the best at. The nephew of NASCAR legend Ernie Irvan, Joey learned from the best how to take care of the people that take care of him. He’s a throwback to the dayswhen Factory teams and their riders ruled the BMX landscape and were a source of awe and inspiration to the general BMX public. Perhaps it’s fitting that Joey ended up on GT, the company that isperhaps most synonymous with the “Big Time” in the BMX heyday. So, here’s a heads up to all you aspiring Factory riders out there. You want to know what it takes to be the best and be recognized as the best? Look no further. Here’s the blueprint."

“At 16 years old, Joey Bradford has accomplished more on a BMX and Mountain Bike than most of the current pros today could ever hope for.  His dedication, work ethic, and desire to be the best, coupled with obvious raw natural talent have taken Joey to top of the cycling world and he looks to stay there for a long, long time.  As the team manager for Sun Ringle’ Racing Components, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Joey for the past 3 years and have watched his professionalism grow along with his list of accomplishments.  Joey is truly a sponsors dream and a joy to watch on the track, yet all the while remaining humble and outgoing to riders and fans around the world.”

“There's more to BMX racing than meets the eye.  Of course, the results, dedication and passion are all an important part of a successful rider. These days it seems one thing is missing amongst the younger generation. It's called "professionalism".  Joey Bradford has it.  Not only has he accomplished more than most riders in the sport (World and National Championships), he does it with the style and class of a savvy veteran. When he's out on the track all eyes are on him.  His positive attitude and love for the sport make it easy to be around him even during the most stressful times of competition. When the new breed of pros take over BMX, Joey Bradford will be leading the way.”
