More on Steve
Steve’s driving career began in 1985 when he purchased a used car from a friend. The season was short lived as an accident damaged the car beyond repair. The following year, Steve built a car to compete in the entry level Hobby Stock Division. Running only 7 of the 14 races that year Steve placed 14th out of 38 cars in the division. While he did not win a race Steve consistently scored top five and top ten finishes. Steve competed in the Hobby Stock division for three years then in 1989 he purchased his first dirt late model. Steve has remained in the dirt late model division since then except for brief stints from 2001 to 2004 as a part time pit crewman in the NASCAR Goody’s Dash Series, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and the ASA Series.
Steve career is highlighted with 46 wins to date. He has missed winning two points titles by a combined five points. Steve has raced a very limited schedule for the past three years do to job and family obligations but for 2008 and beyond his goal is to pick up where he left off
