Hello,

My name is Kale Joyce. As a little background information on myself, I have been around PWC's (Personal WaterCraft) since I was six years old. This is when I was first given the opportunity to go out and ride a PWC with a relative. Instantly I was hooked on riding, and have been ever since that first ride on a Yamaha Waveblaster 2. Not until I was 13 did I begin to actually get very interested in working and building engines for PWCs. I own a Yamaha Gp1200r currently, and last year at the age of 13 I took the engine out and began to rebuild it. I started building the ski when I was 13 halfway through the build turned 14 and finished the ski when I was 14. I am a frequent member of the PWC forum site Greenhulk (www.greenhulk.net). My forum username is Hallpass. I had a lot of help from the forum and give my thanks and respect to everybody who helped me. Without those people I could not have finished. A lot of people did not think that I was the one building a ski at the age of 13/14, but I proved all of them with my fully documented build thread, and because I attended Mudbug Nationals in Morgan City Louisiana. Mudbug is a radar run event to show the fastest skis nationally. I competed and ran 73.2mph which was an acceptable speed to me. I did not win any trophies for the 2-stroke Carbureted class that I was in. But I was awarded the Mudbug Achievement Award for completely the ski at my age.  As the speed demon I became, I decided to rebuild another ski over this winter which I am currently working on. This is an assured 85+mph ski (gps and radar gun). I also plan to attend a few endurance races and other speed events such as the Hahn 300 and the Lake of the Ozarks shootout. Only time will tell what other events I will compete in, some other I am thinking about include the Riva Hydrodrags and a few other endurance races on the west coast.

I am wondering about a sponsorship for me as a young rider that will be in the game for as long as I can ride. I have found my true passion of working and riding PWCs and have looked and talked to many people about doing some kind of work related to PWCs as a profession. I am a great kid that does the right thing. I plan on going all the way through college getting maybe a dual degree, and working in some field related to PWCs. I am young in age in the sport, and think that there is a difference between the CC riders/Freestyle riders compared to the top speed riders. I myself am more of a top speed rider, and am slowly transforming into an endurance rider. I think with all of the pictures I put up on the internet of me wearing gear, and giving information on what products I use on the internet, I could give some increase to the sales of any sponsor, and really just get the name out there more. I would be happy with anything given to me, so I am not going to sit and type would I would like or am expecting.  I also am sending boxes of parts out every day, and if I threw one sticker into 25 boxes, even a small one I believe people will see it and go online and check out the site.

My ski is not going to have other stickers of other companies unless they are sponsors. I will give the company a good name by presenting myself well in public so they know whatever company I am sponsored by only sponsors the best and most mannered riders. I know that with sponsorships comes responsibilities, and if those responsibilities are not done in a correct fashion that the sponsorship can be revoked, and this is something I am not wanting. I do not want to waste your time, or become an embarrassment to myself.

Thank you very much for your time,

Sincerely,

Kale Joyce
