The NESBA track day yesterday was supposed to be a dial in session. Instead, it was an exercise in frustration. I missed a lot of shifts during the early session, and spent the next session trying a different shifter lever location. It was better, but still awkward. Then, my front brakes went away. So, I bled them, bled them, and bled them again. Better, but not great. I adjusted the pegs again, but I think they need to go forward some more. Then, during the first session after lunch, I started feeling a little better on the bike, but the radiator got holed and my day was done. In stead of working on lines and body position, I ended up messing with the equipment for about half a day and watching for the rest of the day. I can't wait to get back out there and finish sorting things out!
It could have been worse. There was a guy who binned his SV650 and it burned to the ground. Another rider was transported after something happened and he hit the airfence in a big way. He is fine, but it sure keeps it all in perspective.
