Q&A - Self Interview
What is your background
I’m a senior at NUAMES High School that focuses on engineering, math and science. Also I attend OWATC a trade school where I have been learning to weld. After high school I plan on attending Weber State University. I began riding in July of 2007 when I was given an ATV for my 16th birthday. My first race was a WORCS race August 19, 2007 at Straddleline ORV Park, Olympia, WA. I raced local races at Rocky Mountain Raceway (RMR) and was finishing in the top five in the junior class. I did various other local races that included a indoor race. For 2008 I have focused on the WORCS series and have raced a few USRA and RMR local races. My results so far this year have greatly improved over last year and I attribute that to my dedication to practice and working out. During the off-season and racing season, I stay in shape by lifting weights, riding a stationary bike, playing racquet ball and riding at my local track. The local track is called OCA and is about 15 minutes away; OCA is one of the most technical and best maintained tracks in the state of Utah.
What are your goals
2009; Race all WORCS ATV series races and finish all races entered and finish in the top three overall in Production B. I will also race as many local MX or desert races as possible in B or intermediate class. Graduate high school and start at Weber State University in their Manufacturing Engineering Technology program. I also want to pick up a sponsor that will back me and help me reach these goals.
