I have another 4 weeks of "No Activity" I absolutely cant wait to get back on a bike! My ribs are healing well & My spleen is looking better also. My Championship Season is fading away every weekend, I'm sitting back in 3rd place as of this week. Hopefully I'll get back on the bike before the end of our season & salvage something.
Huge thanks to all of my Mom & Dad, my sponsors & everyone else who helps out with the week to week necessities.
See ya at the track, Frankie

Another great day for racing! The track & the weather were perfect.
In the Jr. mini, 85 cc class, Frankie debuted his new RM 85, with only one day of practice on it he felt comfortable enough to give it a shot. The 1st. moto started out good, Frankie was running 7th making the pass for 6th when he tipped over in a turn had a tough time starting the bike (it's a little tall) he salvaged a 13th. The second moto was alot cleaner, he rode pretty aggressively to a 6th for a 9th overall.
In the 65 cc class Frankie rode real hard for an uneventful 2nd. place in the first moto. With a crummy start in the second moto he quickly charged to 3rd place in the first 1 1/2 laps, while closing in on the #2 rider, A lapper was in the turn at the same time, the second place rider took the inside while Frankie was railing the berm, the lapper swerved outward & bumped Frankie over the berm. Quickly remounting his bike he maintained his 3rd. place finish for a 3rd. overall.

After battling Pneumonia for the last few weeks, Frankie finally felt strong enough to ride again this week. We went to the track with no expectations, just hoping to make it through the day. He rode very well in both motos, a little winded towards the end of each moto. In the first moto had had a solid third place ride going & with 1 1/2 laps left he stalled the bike & couldn't re-start it quickly, finally after a long agonizing minute or so he rode back to an eleventh place. The second moto was a great start combined with a strong 3rd place finish for a 6th place overall. We need to rebuild some endurance in the next couple of weeks.

What a great day it turned out to be! Frankie was adapting well to the mud trying to make the pass for 4th when the kid he was passing swapped out in front of him, Frankie ran over the kids rear tire and crashed also. After finally getting the bike started again he (18th or 19th place at this time) he rode up to 11th place in the 1st moto. The 2nd moto was less eventful, between moto's we discussed the plan of attack, it was to just get in front from the beginning! After a mediocre start Frankie took a 4th place, with a 6th place overall in the 65cc class.
In the 85cc jr.mini class, Frankie rode his KX 65 to a 12th & a 10th for an 11th place overall.

This weekend was jam packed with riders, Waldens website says over 900 riders were there to compete in the event, there was some great racing action going on. Frankie had 2 OK starts in the 60 cc class and wound up with a 12th in the first moto & a 10th in the second moto with a 10th overall finish. In the mini 4 stroke, club special class he rode to an easy 1-1 finish.

Sundays race was a great season opener. The first moto started with a crummy start (early season jitters)
Frankie stalled the bike at the line, after getting it restarted he rode extremely well and managed to finish in fitth place. The second moto was as equally interesting, he came around the first turn in about ninth or tenth place, riding hard he worked his way up to third sometime during the second lap, three or four turns before the finish line jump on the last lap, on an off camber left hander he was on the back tire of the second place rider he took the inside line to make the pass and with a little too much rear brake he low side slid the bike into the turn and wedged the bike in between the berms. After pulling the bike free and getting it running he managed to salvage a fifth place finish in the second moto and a fifth overall for the day. Man it's going to be a fun year.
