From Four Wheels To Two
How did you get started?
Riding has been a part of my life for years. I began on a 1986 Honda Big Red 3 wheeler. In 2002 my papaw got me a 2002 Yamaha Beartracker. I rode my Beartracker on trails and around the farm for about 4 years until my friends convinced me to go from 4 wheels to two. In our barn was a 1978 XL125. I began riding this, I got used to the feel of a clutch, and keeping my balance on the bike. Along with the XL125 was a 1978 XL250s. I migrated to this and rode for about half year. After I was sure I could handle the power of a race bike I began to ride our 1979 CR125 Elsinore, This started a new chapter in my life. One day while riding on our farm My best friend and "Mechanic" Justin Lafollette came over to ride on his 2003 CR250R. He popped the question "Do u want to ride my bike?" And finally without being timid and afraid of such a Beast. I climbed aboard and rode a lap around the field. The power amazed me and I knew right then and there, I had to have one. Being the Yamaha Guy that I am, In the summer of 2006 I purchased my 2003 YZ250. I ride every chance I get and plan to have a competitive future in my racing career.
List your competitive highlights
1st Race Ever
Louisville Arenacross I placed 5th and 6th.
What are you planning for next season?
*I plan to train hard with my friends at local tracks
*I plan on working on different riding techniques and forms.
*I also plan on giving it my all, its not all about winning its the pride you get out of the sport.
What has been your biggest accomplishment?
*My biggest accomplishment, I would have to say is the entire fact that im riding dirtbikes instead of quads. Without the influence of my friends I prolly wouldnt have a bike, and would have a quad instead.
