Q&A - Personal

What inspires you to compete?

I love the challenge of trying to be the best, and if I can't be the best I want to be better then I was before.

Why do you like this sport?

I love that it is always changing. People are always getting better, faster, more efficient. I love trying to keep up. I love the thrill of flying down a descent and the feeling of accomplishment when I clean a new trail. I love the crashes and the bumps and scrapes, I love it all!

Do you train? What does your schedule look like?

I have really just begun to train. My current goal is to train on the road a minimum of four days a week to build my speed and endurance and then I get to play in the woods two days a week.

Some Personal Information About Me:

When I'm not riding my bike I like to spend time with my family and boyfriend. I love to read and write and I am currently am working on writing a romance novel. I love to laugh and believe that laughter can heal!

What has been your most embarrassing moment?

I was racing in a six hour race and as I was coming through the check point I tried swinging my leg off my bike so I could run through the chicane, but my leg caught on my seat and I fell over in front of everyone. I was a little embarrassed!
