so this sunday (july 29) i was practiceing at a local track and there is a good 50 foot double there that i have been sizing up for weeks, and my friend was doing it so i watched him alot and i could ask him about how to approach it. So i pretty much knew what to do i just needed to get the nerve to do it, i knew there was a nasty rut on the right of the take off so i decided if i did decide to go for it u would need to aproach it from the left, then in the middle of one of my laps i decided to just hold on, so i came around the corner, clicked into third gear and held on...and well it was perfect, i was so stoked so have finally cleared it, ofcourse the next lap i would try and do it again just to make sure i had it down. Thats when it happened, i was so glad to have finally concoured this jump that i forgot about the rut on the right side of the take off, so i came up to the double on the right side, got cross rutted gear three tapped, and bailed mid air (which was a good 15-20 feet up). Thankfully i landed on my feet, and as i was coming down my first thought was both my legs would be broken...but some how very fortuneatly my legs were fine, although the souls of my feet have some nice blue bruises though(which makes walking very painful i might add) but then i was hurled forward from my momentum (remember i was gear three tapped) and broke my left fore arm. went to the hospital and i am goin to the hospital adain on August 3rd to find out if they are goin to pin it or not. so basically all my races have been cancled for the rest of the summer, i should have my cast off early september so i will try to get back raceing as soon as possible (im already behind)
wish me luck
