Erin grew up in the snow, next to beautiful Lake Tahoe California. Since the age of two winter sports was a part of her life, her parents started her in ski racing at the age of four and not until 12 did snowboarding become such an obsession for her that her parents able to leverage her school grades against how many days she could snowboard a week. The good student that she is, racked up to straight A’s exchanged for 6 days a week of snowboarding!
After playing college soccer in San Jose for a couple of years, she decided Salt Lake City would be the place to finish her degree in Communications and reconnect with snowboarding again. Taking time out to serve a religious mission for her church she has been in Salt Lake City and traveling from that home base ever since.
Things in Erin’s snowboarding career have really picked up since her little grom days in Lake Tahoe. She gained a spot on the Roxy team in 2002 and has consistently been a presence in the snowboard mags. This past season she rode harder than ever and now has an amazing video part in Misschief Film’s new movie “As If”, which premiered to rave reviews. None of this comes easily however, there are lots of bumps and bruises, not to mention stitches along the way, but Erin wouldn’t do it any differently. She is amazed to be able to live off her passion and has traveled to countries such as Iceland and enjoyed seeing the fantastic landscape and learning of their different culture.
She was featured in The vans movie, a “lucid dream”, The Park City movie “City. Park City.” and Misschief’s film “Ro-sham-Bo”. Along with all of that came editorial.
Currently she has been super busy filming for a new girls film called “Runway”, picked up the Misschief riders. She has also been super busy filming for the new Roxy video that will be coming out fall of 07”
She took 1st place at the Vans Cup Rail Jam. She also received a cover for a French snowboard Magazine, and I got the cover of the finish snowboard Magazine Called “Slammer” It has been a good year for Erin and she is ready for a little break this summer! She needs about a month to work on my house in SLC.. plus Alexis moved out of my house this month and moved into her own house 5 houses down from hers… so now they are neighbors.
