Q&A - Competition
How did you get started?
When I turned 12 I started surfing an 'ol Robert August 10 foot board and I wanted to surf against my Dad and his friends in a contest. I ended up winning the whole Ventura Surf Club event. After that they decide to have a jr. division.
List your competitive highlights:
I got fifth place overall for the 2005 H.A.S.A. series. I also got to travel and surf the Longboard world championships in 2006. I was apart of the first ever pro longboard contest in Molokai (my favorite Island)
What are you planning for next season?
I am planning to surf as many big swells as I can this winter and continue to tow-in whenever I can.
What has been your biggest accomplishment?
My biggest accomplishment is getting to tow surf last Dec on some of the biggest waves a lot of locals have said they have ever seen in Oahu. But I think the real accomplishment is just being a surfer and getting to surf with friends.
