Introducing Douthit Family Racing, Idaho’s only jet powered drag racing family, for over 30 years they have brought fan friendly entertainment to drag strips around the world. Douthit Family Racing has owned and operated exhibition race cars since 1975. They started with Smokey Red a wheel standing 1968 Chevy Nova and then purchased their first jet dragster in 1985. After running a number of slower jet dragsters, they have since made the move to this state of the art jet powered dragster. Douthit Family Racing consists of Joe and Carol Douthit, the owners and patriarchs of Douthit Family Racing, and their son David who is responsible for driving the car, tuning the car, and marketing.
