Q&A - Self Interview

What has to be one embarassiang moment at the races?

It would have to be at my last race where I was lined up 2 wide right next to another YFZ450 exactly like mine and we had to have engines running but clutch hand on helmet till the flag dropped. Well when the flag dropped I got antsy and hit the shifter before I had the clutch all the way in and stalled right out on the starting line. But all was good got it started and passed him within the first mile anyways so no loss haha.

Why is it hard to find sponsors?

I believe it is a hard time in the US with the economic drop in just about everything the only thing I cant take forgranted is that being in the military I have one of the most secure jobs there is right now. Also I believe most companies are just trying to stay alive especially the little guys like where I'm from. The economy is just in poor shape all around right now.

Who is your greatest role model?

My role model would have to be my father. He has always been the to push me along and never quit even in the worst conditions he has mentored me along in the man I am today. He has shown me to be respectful and proper even when my anger should be taking over which makes me a successful supervisor in my job.

How do you feel about the Jeremy Lusk crash?

My input on it is it was a sad day in the motorcross community and it was a shame that someone with such experience and badass tricks was cut down but it is the risk we all take with this sport. I just hope everyone will remember him for the badass tricks he'd always pull-off and make your jaw drop, and will get the Lusk wristband atwww.motoworldracing.com to support his family.

How do you want your career to turn out?

Like every rider would say is to turn out on top of the racing community and pummeling the competition. Even though I might not be able to do that all the time I hope to be picked up and be a full time racer and be able to move back to the east coast and run GNCC with my friend Traci Cecco and get beat by her like always haha.

Q&A - Competition

How did you get started?

It's kinda a family thing not my parents but all my cousins race and I always rode around with my friends and a few of my family members on the coal hills, and corn fields. Yeah I'm country haha.

List your competitive highlights:

I'm currently tied in 5th overall for the year in the new mexico desert racing standings. I took 6th in the tarantula which I know ain't great but it was my first race so cut me some slack but I got 5th which is better in the corralito's race. A normal race is usually around 50 miles yeah I'm usually dead and sore by the end but keep pushin to finish.

What are you planning for next season?

I am hoping to have my quad completed with all the parts I need and be taking first almost every race. You cant take first every race you always have something new to learn but I ain't going to ever be last. Also hoping to get more sponsors I just picked up my first which was hard enough gotta be positive though.

What has been your biggest accomplishment?

Not quiting in these damn 50 mile courses and never coming in last. Also going to Iraq running over an IED and making it home ALIVE.

Q&A - Personal

Describe your style...

Hey everyone my style gotta be "Go Big or Go Home" cause if you ain't gunna put it all out there everytime you might as well just keep it in the trailer cause I'm goin by you AGAIN haha..

What inspires you to compete?

I like the rush I get everytime the flag drops and I get the holeshot out the gate and beat all them guys that been running in my class for years and I just started down here.

Hey! Yeah pretty much anywhere at the dunes. You'll be surrounded by em. I recommend Florence or Winchester Bay. There are a lot of moutains that we ride around at...but little cubby hole spots you wouldn't recognize.
