About Javelin BroderickJavelin Broderick is a 13 year old novice road / dirtracer hailing from Ojai, California. He started his career in racing in 2005 on a Yamaha PW80. He quickly moved to a Kawasaki KX65 and steadily moved up in his racing results from race to race. He currently rides a ProCircuit Kawasaki KX85 with major sponsors - The Track Club, AGV Helmets and Applied Powdercoating. His results continued to climb and in late 2007, Javelin won the fall, 85cc Novice Championship at Racetown 395 in Adelanto, CA. and followed that with a 2nd place win in the 8 race Dealer Series at the same track. In late 2007, he began roadrace training on a Kawasaki Ninja250 riding trackdays with his father and The Track Club. With expert training from various Track Club coaches and his introduction to Jason Pridmores "Star School", Javelins lap times on the low power Ninja 250 began to drop. Early in 2008, Javelin began riding a Kawasaki KX85 powered, RS125 roadracing chassis and then quickly to a full RS125. After completing his very first big track race weekend at The Streets Of Willow with the CMRRA on 08/10/08, Javelin found himself walking away with 1st place in 85cc stock novice, 85GP novice and a 6th place finish in Formula GP all accomplished on the RS chassis with a bone stock 85cc motor! He began racing with the WERA West organization at the beginning of 2009 on a Suzuki SV650 Superstock motorcycle and in 4 races has two first place finishes in Lightweight Twins Superstock Novice and a second and third place finish in Lightweight Twins Superbike Novice (riding the SS bike). He currently leads the points in SS novice and is second in the points in SB novice. Outside of motorcycles, Javelin enjoys riding his Specialized roadracing bicycle and is also an Honor Role student in grade 8 at Matilija Junior High in Ojai, California. From time-to-time, he also fancies himself to be a pretty good guitar player. An all-around great kid with a legitimate love of motorcycles and motorcycle racing. Javelin considers himself to be a great sportsman and very approachable on and off the track. Hey Javelin, it's Jay here I'm rear wheel sliding in throwing you 5stars and doubling out. I think its awesome you roadrace. My Dad was an exepert superbike and unlimited grandprix roadracer in the late 1980's. he raced against guys by the names of Dave Sadowski,Jamie James,Jeff Heino and others. Laconia N.H. Briar Motorsports was the track. Now its a one line nascar track. My Dad use to take me to the AMA National there Nicky Hayden was the new kid. Miguel Duhamel was the big dog.My Dad say's moto-x is a great training tool for roadracing, so keep up the great work and keep me posted.

Hi Paulette This is Jav's dad. Jav's been busy catching up on homework missed due to his riding. Javelin has been training with Jason Pridmore's "Star School" over the last year and we are really happy with the level of instruction that he has received. We love Keith's books and articles and read them all of the time. Good luck with instructing for them. |
