Do you ever wish you could turn back the clock and revisit the days when your only goal was to play and to play hard. About once a year i find myself revisiting those times and wish that I could just escape there for a day or so. One of my favorite toys growing up was the sit and spin.I loved the crazy dizzy feeling you'd get from just twirling around and around. I would go so fast, at times that the blood would rush to my head and by the time it stopped i could barely stand. Although I enjoyed that momentary feeling I would have never liked it had it not have eventually gone away, but that is how some people wander through life. I have alot of friends whose lives seem to be like a twirling adventure spinning out of control. They don't know how to get or stay grounded so the spin thorugh life hiding behind curtains of drugs, manipulation, substance abuse and many other stupid behaviors. In all my life of listening to many peoples struggles and burdens I have only learned one way to calm down the spinning vortex that is everyday life. The only way is to have Jesus Christ as the center. He offers a center of gravity, or an anchor that cannot be compared to any other the world can give, even when life seems to be spinning out of control!!

It's funny now that I think about it but someone once told me a little story that I will never forget. They said that everyones life is like a fine glass of wine. It has been carefully watched over, aged and cared for up until the moment that it hits the lips of the one who is to partake of it! However the one thing that can destroy the quality of the wine is the little poisin that everyone may deny lies in it. Though the wine may take the same color and smell, and in some cases the same taste there are poisins that may have set in the wine that are waiting to devour the one who drinks of it. Oiur lives are the same way. You go through your daily walk being the person you feel you should be but you often don't manage to notice the poisins that you put in your life that are slowly killing the friends, desires and relationhips you have worked so hard to achieve. So today take my little challenge, clean something out of your life, message me and tell me about it and then i'll do the same!!
