I have just returned from this race and it was a HOT ONE. The temp was 106 with very little breeze.A 9am start did help but by the halfway point in the race I started to feel over heated and really had to focus to try and keep my pace up. Not a great result today but it was a HOT one. 39th overall and 7th in the senior open expert class. My hats off to everyone who finished this event, especially The Invaders m/c who hosted the event.Setting up a course and tearing it down in that kind of heat is brutal!! I have two weeks til the next event which is two days of racing. A 100 mile team race on Saturday and a 1 hour "euro" on Sunday. Til then,have a great week!
